> 24 hourI’m amazed at how well this product works. After watching the posted videos, I was a little skeptical, but decided to try it anyway. I must admit, it works exactly as shown and it’s really easy to use. A little goes a long way too. It costs a little more, but it’s worth every penny! Extremely pleased with this product.

> 24 hourI decided to take on the challenge of building a cutting board from scratch for my lovely wife. I watched many videos on how to properly seal and give longevity to the well manicured butcher block. A friend of mine suggested, “try walrus oil”. This sounded highly illegal and inhumane. In the southeastern region of the United States, this particular mammal is considered ultra rare, however, squirrels are plentiful. I hunted early in the morning and captured a dray of squirrels. I don’t believe in waste so I cleaned them and made biscuits and gravy from my great grandmothers recipe book. I rendered the fat to a fine oil. 12 squirrels provided enough to coat one board and feed my family of 2. Because I am a cutting board novice, I didn’t think it through and the blood soaked butcher block was resisting the squirrel oil. I resanded the boards and after noticing google had monitored my search history an add for this product appeared. I was shocked walrus oil was bottled and sold. I read the contents and this actually contains zero walrus material. Relieved, but feeling duped, I ordered a bottle. It went on with ease and gave the boards a perfect shine. Animal lovers like me, have no fear, this product is not what you think! It’s better!

> 24 hourMy cutting boards look much better. It stays on through several hand washes[light brushing with very watery soap and water[detergent] Feel like my boards will last longer and not develop cracks. Time will tell.

> 24 hourI forgot to take a before photo but this product brought new life to my collection of vintage teak items. I did a fair amount of research before selecting this product, because I didnt want to cause any damage to the wood. I used a tea towel and was able to treat all of these items with multiple coats using only half the bottle! The wood drank up the moisture and restored the beautiful wood grain textures and color to its original vibrance! And now they have another great protective layer for many more dinners to come! My only complaint was that the oil comes out of the bottle super fast, but it only took a few tries to get the hang of how hard to squeeze the bottle (I ended up just tipping it to the side and letting it pour out on its own). I also bought the wax for my cutting boards and my cheese dome to protect it from the elements when sitting in the fridge.

> 24 hourSanded, cleaned then added two coats of this oil to my maple & oak cutting board; it looks and seems in near new condition. Since treatment, my cutting board has not significantly faded in color nor has the oil added unwanted taste to foods touching its surface. I recommend this oil.

> 24 hourThis is a great product ~ worth the money. Very little goes a long way. I bought a very nice big OLD cutting board at a church sale. After using this oil, it looks brand new. I bet they wouldn’t sell it for 2 bucks now!

> 24 hourMy old wooden bowls, salad servers, spoons and cutting board were so dried out. After one application of Walrus Oil, and letting the pieces sit for 24 hours before wiping off the excess, they all look so much better. I am sure this oil will keep the wood looking good and prevent it from splitting.

> 24 hourIve used this for live edge charcuterie boards I cut, finish & sell. After lots of sanding I wipe a few coats of this on. I allow it to soak in between coats & add until it doesnt soak in anymore. Its time consuming if you factor dry time. The bottle doesnt last long for raw boards. I also use when my personal charcuterie board gets dry after or between uses. I use this in combo with the walrus wax. It doesnt leave a shiny or greasy residue once it soaks. Otherwise I use a combo of food grade/safe mineral oil & local beeswax melted & wiped on which is cheaper when we work on a larger quantity of boards.
