Cool As Ice

What can I say about Cool As Ice that hasnt already been said? Probably nothing. Still. I recently received a foriegn DVD release of the film and was THRILLED. From the action (Ice makes a jump on his bike so bad-a$$ that it makes a horse freak out!) to the dialogue (Well, Ill see you.. Yer seein me NOW.), this is a WONDERFUL motion picture. See, I believe in a thing called a Happy Accident. Movies that are SO INCREDIBLY BAD that they actually end up being wonderful. There are TONS of bad movies, but very few Happy Accidents. Road House was one. Showgirls was another. Wild Things was the most recent. But Cool as Ice? BEST. HAPPY. ACCIDENT. EVER. What made it so great was that you could tell it wasnt MEANT to be bad. Someone actually thought they were writing a good movie!!! All in all... if you can find an old video store that has this? Rent it. If you have ANY type of sense of humor, you will NOT regret it.

I bought this and his to the extreme album to serve as heckle entertainment. This is not a movie to be taken seriously.

This DVD does not work, I have a region free DVD player so it should work, have also tried it on friends to no avail.. The DVD itself doesnt even look like its been written on. The time and money to send it back would have cost me more than the DVD itself, consumer beware.

Drop that zero and get with the hero. There are moments where it’s unclear whether or not this is a well produced blockbuster film, or a documentary of a family haunted by dark characters from the past and a young girl coming of age. Rob Van Winkle gives us his quintessential method acting performance reminiscent of Marlon Brando in this gripping story of a grown man in a motorcycle gang seducing a school-aged child. If you’re looking for a movie that combines early 90’s hip hop, suspense, and a gripping storyline then look no further than Cool As Ice.

Yo this movie is one of the best ever! The acting aint the best, but take the movie for what its worth. Ice is the man and always will be no matter who tries to put him down. Between the bikes, cool lines and trying to win the girl, this movie has it all. And for all of you who dont like Ice, then you dont know ice, you dont him at all. So find this movie and watch it. Im outta here, like yesterday.

This movie is pointless and boring. Its also very unrealistic. Why does Vanilla Ice try to be some kind of superhero? Why does the girl fall in love with him after startling her horse with his motorcycle, making her fall? How [silly] is that? I should also note when they catch sight of each other, Ices motorcycle mysteriously just flies over the fence. Theres no ramp or anything! Has anybody here noticed that? Ice comes up with oscar winning lines such as Drop that zero and get with the hero which I found pretty dumb and wasnt really that impressed by it. Actually, all of his oscar winning lines are stupid and unimpressive. What really hurt this movie the most was its unrealism(Im not just talking about the motorcycle, Im talking about the whole movie)the rather stupid lines, and the director for coming up with such a bad idea. DO NOT pay attention to the positive reviews. The only reason they give it a high rating is because Vanilla Ice is in this film and they dont really care how bad it is as long as the iceman is there. Save your money and buy something worthwhile.

Leonard Plinth Carnell would say: “Simply awful!” Truly an embarrassment. I was embarrassed for “Vanilla Ice” and everyone in this stinker. I rented the movie and have not watched the regular version yet. I bought the RiffTrax version for humorous reasons and it was hilarious. Not sure I can watch the regular version now. I may try for a refund since I have not watched a second of it.

...at the fact that this video is at the reasonable price of NINETY-THREE DOLLARS! Why this was made is beyond me. Is it really worth seeing? The only reason why _I_ would want to see it is for the laugh factor, and the retro clothing styles of that great year 1991. Oh, and some of the people who are writing reviews for this have GOT to be joking! Does Vanilla Ice _really_ give you inspiration to become a hard core hip-hop rapper dude? He never WAS a hard core hip-hop rapper dude!

Number one love story with Blade II and Point Break a close second/third. Add in the motorcycles, dope dancing, and Fresh hair cuts, well, you have the perfect movie!

I love this movie! Its one of those movies that its so bad its great. Ive watched it like a hundred times and I never get tired of it. A must have for any movie collector.
