Cool As Ice

What to say that hasnt been said...its an awesomely bad movie that I would love to see Rifftrax tackle (and then beat into submission). Living through the time when this buffoon was so popular as to be allowed to release a major motion picture I never understood the appeal of Vanilla Ice...I like him more now than I did only because I am no longer forced to hear him assualt the airwaves...his music was everywhere back then whether you sought it out or not. Anyway, there were several times in the watching of this movie (in between the laughing fits until I choked) that I thought maybe I had been shown an alternate dimension where all white people were nerdy, squares except Vanilla Ice (the scene in the Sugar Shack club is as mind boggling as it is hilarious)...but then I remembered...oh wait this is just a horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE movie made by people that were clearly delusional. Its a world where apparently its perfectly acceptable to hold up traffic while you and your posse try to repair a motorcycle...a world where breaking into retarded dance sequences is something that you do to pass the time and to show that you are a cool edgy rebel in a town full of squares...a world where endangering someones life then stealing something of theirs and finally breaking into their house is just a mere prelude to romance...a world where a haircut and a jacket instantly gains you the fervent devotion of a child. This is nillas world. And he is cool. This point is not up for debate. The quicker you accept it, the quicker you can learn to be cool like him. If you find yourself using things like logic, reason, your judgment or God forbid perspective that will lead you down the rabbit hole of realizing that he is an enormous tool whose fate was sealed with his first single. A docile puppet who would go along with a movie this ridiculous.

Unlike many of the untalented reviewers who have reviewed this movie I have this movie on Laser Disk, thats right Laser Disk. Instead of watching this movie in stereo, I watched it with Dolby Digital. Vanilla Ice should get an 100 Oscar if no talents such like Russell Crow and Tom Hanks have Oscars. He is the greatest crossover talent in the Universe. I had the privilege to watch the amazing fight scene in the movie in slow motion unlike the other reviewers who had to watch it on VHS. His rapping is unparalleled on Laser Disk, Ive seen this movie on VHS and its insulting. Its like watching a movie on VCD then watching it in DVD. There is no comparison. Let me quote the genius that is Vanilla Ice; Drop the Zero and get with the Hero. Not even Arnold Schwarzenneger could come up with a better one liner (actually he cant that would mean he has talent like Jean Claude Van Damn). Every time I need inspiration I watch Cool as Ice and so should you. How inspirational is it well let me tell you? I was in NYC and saw an interview of Eminem and heres how it went. Interviewer: Who inspired you to get into the rap game? Eminem: Ah theres some many people who told me I couldnt rap, and at first I couldnt ya know, but I kept watching Vanilla Ice starring in Cool as Ice and it inspired me. Interviewer: Really? Eminem: You know I cant dance like him but who can! If it wasnt for Vanilla Ice we wouldnt have Eminem, so you could call him Vanilla Ice the Return or just VI 2

Good movie

I love the music in the movie! Its gotta a pretty good story. And the main character is pretty good looking.

As I saw this movie as a child I told my children about it and so we looked everywhere for it. Amazon was the only place we were able to find it. The kids loved it

This movie is one of the best! Rob is a spectacular actor! Love this movie, always have. If you dont have this, get wit it!

Classic 90s vanilla ice! So glad this movie has finally gotten a blu-ray release. This movie is a must have for myself.

Obscure movie cannot find anywhere and works great

Yo, i didnt have a ramp so I just bunny-hopped my motorcycle over the fence on your property while you was riding your horse and got you thrown off and damn near killed, and now you pissed?? Wass yo problem? ..and do you mind if I see you again? Oh, you do? Yup, she like me. Thats about the only scene in this film that made any kinda earthly sense. excellent film. Rob Van Winkle is actually a very under-rated and believable action star. Just kidding. but the movies great. I rate this right up there with films like The Room. its one of those films that makes you think. (Things like -Dayum, WTF I just see?)
