Cool As Ice

With quality lines like this, how can you not love this movie? The film that launched Vanilla Ices acting career, it is a reminder of what would happen if the 80s and the 90s had a baby while both did a whole lot of drugs. I remember watching this movie back in the 90s, and have actually re-watched it a few times. Does it have 2 music videos in the middle of it? Yes. Countless motorcycle scenes? Check. Crazy 90s haircuts? Absolutely. If youre looking for some quality entertainment that will make you ask Why am I watching this??? every 5 minutes, but you cant look away, then this is the movie for you. Plus, its got Michael Gross!

I was thinking about buying this to give as a joke christmas present. Damn.. i cant see how anyone would buy this awful movie for more than 5 bux, let alone 92...

This DVD does not work, I have a region free DVD player so it should work, have also tried it on friends to no avail.. The DVD itself doesnt even look like its been written on. The time and money to send it back would have cost me more than the DVD itself, consumer beware.

Great movie, but this version has the most annoying voiceover that commentates throughout the entire movie. Its as if the movie was taken from a bad youtube channel and put on here. There should not be a charge for this version since it clearly violates the copyright laws from the original.

The muse has spoken. Vanilla Ices feature film debut is absolutely astounding. Astounding because this film was actually made to cash in on Vanillas success as a one-hit rapper whose popularity was dubious at best and was only equalled by the vitriolic backlash he received shortly after. Contains Oscar-calibre dialog like drop the zero and get with a hero. Jesus wept. I cannot hardly imagine who put their hard earned ducats down to see this in the theatre. The saving grace is that this film is so undeniably bad that its good. To quote another reviewer: Vanilla Ice accomplishes what every comedian dreams of; he makes the audience crack up without making a single joke. Kristin Minter is shortchanged as Ices love interest being that she is hot and can act but due to poor direction and the fact she likes Vanilla her talents are wasted. At least Michael Gross is given one last chance onscreen before his career sank without a trace. To summarize, the sheer fact that this movie exists is a testament to how poor our taste was in the 80s. Beats out every bad movie Ive seen to be number one. I give it 4 stars for irony. A classic of the genre. Rent it, youll thank me.

Medium rating for nostalgia. Watched this with two friends born after Vanilla Ice was cool they didnt get the hype. Clearly, they missed out.
