Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle UVB Heat Lighting Kit

one side of the fixture wouldnt turn on, and when I took the light apart I found one of the electrical connections didnt even have any wire touching the contact. so I stripped the wire and made it work. its a shame zoo med would let something as simple as this happen.

Put this on a 5gallon tank that sits on top of my 75 gallon for my turtles to bask. And temps didn’t reach past 75degrees. My Yellow Belly needs high 70s to lower 80s. I upgraded the bulbs to 75 watts zoo med bulbs and my temps are lower 80s. This fixture should’ve been sufficient for up to a 20 gallon according to the info I obtained. However, I’m still very happy with this fixture.

works as advertised, yes it does have two cords but for the price point I think its fair

Has held up for a very long time even taking a couple falls and still lights up perfectly, turtles couldnt live without it (literally)

Was so excited for this kit and worked perfectly until today. I have had this for 1 month exactly and the halogen heat lamp died, nothing happened to it, just stopped working. Fixture works, just a bad bulb? Hoping the seller will help me out.

So far so good ! It’s been 2 weeks straight of use, 24 hours per day! Works well with the Zoo Med Aquatic turtle lamp!

I initially decided to buy this product because I was tired of replacing the bulbs in a much cheaper unit unfortunately there was a Bad UVB bulb in a new package. Replacement bulb cost $24 I dont want to have to replace the entire unit just need a working bulb. Unfortunately there isnt a way just return the bulb and unless Im missing something theres no way to contact the seller.

Used this for a couple weeks now and it seems to work great. Turtles love it, they bask for long periods of time under this light. My only con is it requires two plug-ins. This is nice for the fact I can turn off the basking light and leave the UVB on a little longer if I want, but I rarely do this and have timers set to the exact same time for both lights, so I would prefer a single plug-in.
