> 3 dayExcellent monitor for the price range. The USB Type C connection is very reliable and allows you to connect a USB-C laptop with only 1 cable and if you are using it for a non-USB-C device, you can connect with HDMI or DP and also connect the USB Type B cable to activate the USB Type A hub on the monitor. The USB hub is great if you have multiple devices you switch between like work and personal laptops and want them to instantly connect to other USB devices (like a docking station). I keep my USB wireless adapters for the mouse and keyboard plugged in the monitor and just switch the laptops when needed. I use it with my HP Elite X2 and by connecting it with the USB-C cable, I get the following: 1) Charges the laptop and keeps it at 100% while using it. 2) Delivers HD video and audio to the monitor without the need for HDMI or DP cables. 3) Activates the USB hub in the monitor (3 additional USB Type A ports for the computer) without the need to connect the USB Type B cable. My only disappointment is the sound. The built in speakers are so weak that you can barely hear anything. So just pretend they dont exist and get external speakers or a soundbar.

> 3 dayI connect MBP 2017 and this monitor using USB 3.1 cable, nothing showing on the display. HDMI connector works well.

> 3 dayI have to say that Im really pleased with these monitors. Much sharper than the 24 FHD monitors that I had before (as they should be). The lighting seems pretty even and bright. I ran the monitors through a dead/bright pixel test website and I couldnt find anything wrong with either one. The monitors came well protected. The boxes had a couple of small dents and holes in them, but everything inside was fine. I have them hooked up to a 19 Macbook Pro. I do have to say that I was just slightly apprehensive given the number of people having problems using this monitor with the MBP or Macbooks in general. But Im happy to report no issues at all here. I have one hooked up through USB-C (cable came with monitor) and merrily charging my MBP. The other is hooked up through HDMI via a USB-C hub. (HDMI also came with monitor) I assume I could hook up both through USB-C, but I dont know how the charging works in that instance. Theres also a USB A-B cable included, but thats been tossed aside for now. Anyway, great monitor. Recommended.

> 3 dayUsed it as a side monitor for my 13 inch mac. Obviously this monitor’s screen is not as goos as the mac’s, but totally worth the money and I m still happy with it. Make sure to buy a usb c cable that supports video streaming up to 2k.

> 3 dayMonitor is good, but it is not very supportive of Apple computers. The USB-C cable the monitor came with worked for my windows laptop, but it did not for my macbook pro. I had to spend another $15 for a usb-c cable that looks pretty identical to the one that came in the box. Im not sure the why the cable the monitor came with didnt work, but I wished Viewsonic would fix this because a lot of other reviewers had this problem too. Unfortunately, the monitor software it comes with is only available for Windows too. I was really excited about the possibility of using just 1 cord to charge my mac and hook it up to a monitor, but the power the monitor delivers wasnt enough to keep my battery charged. My laptop needs 61W according to Apple, and this monitor provides 60W. I was hoping the 1W wouldnt make a difference, but it does. Viewsonic should up the wattage this monitor provides since 60W is not a lot for a laptop. EDIT: I changed my review to 5 stars because for some reason, the charging is now working and keeping my laptop at 100%.

> 3 dayUpdate: both monitors I purchased have started making quiet whistling noises, sounds similar to the noise made by an old hard drive when its seeking lots of data. This monitor has a super annoying feature where it changes the backlight brightness based on how much white is onscreen. This makes it impossible to set your brightness to a comfortable level. If you use dark mode apps like I do, you adjust your brightness so theyre readable. BUT, then if you open a light mode window, all of a sudden the monitor ramps up the brightness and its blindingly bright. Very stupid feature, very frustrating, defeats the whole point of setting the brightness. After a lot of digging through menus, I finally found a way to turn off the auto brightness. Its under Setup Menu -> ECO Mode. On a different topic, my macbook pro refuses to remember that this monitor is rotated, but that could be apples fault. Also, this monitor has a game mode which presumably runs faster, but it makes all the colors look washed out and ugly.

Greater than one weekSimpy amazing! This monitor with USB-C turned THREE cables into one!! Its complete eliminated the cable clutter on my desktop. Before I had hooked up to my Dell XPS 13 9380 the following: one USB-C cable for display, one USB-C converted to USB-A through an adapter for my peripherals, and another USB-C cable for charging. Now a SINGLE USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor does all three things! One single USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor provides power, drives the monitor, and the built-in USB hub in the monitor all works! Simultaneously!! Just make sure you get the right USB-C cable, with USB-PD and 10 Gbps Gen 2 like this one recommended by another reviewer on here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L0F6AJI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Sorry if this sounds like a fake review, but Im just honestly pleased with this monitor. If I would give 6 stars, I would.

> 3 dayIve had one of these for about 1.5 years, and its been a wonderful tool for getting my desk work done. The monitor is crisp, bright, and well suited for creating and editing reports. I also use it for editing of images for my research, and the color range and contrast seem as good as my MacBook Pro display. A great feature of this monitor is the excellent position adjustment range, in particular, it can be adjusted downward to be within ~0.75 of the work table which is my preferred location. Finally, the ability for one cable to serve as the video cable and charging cable is really cool. Mine came with the necessary cable for this. The speakers do suck, but I just configure my Macbook Pro to use the built-in speakers on the laptop.
