These are nice for trimming around dog eyes and face. They were still a little too big for my little Yorkie ..,, 5 pounds. I can still use them to trim her legs and rear hair. No thumb rest. And the Guards/ tips were kind of large. Great for a bigger dog.

Not at all what I expected

The original review (which Ive left intact below) was read by the seller and immediate action was taken. A new set of scissors were sent to me, along with a gift for my trouble. The new set works well so it seems that I got a defective pair initially. The customer service from this company is beyond stellar and I would be pleased to make purchases from them in the future. The non-cutting tips of these scissors are hard to get used to. While a regular scissor will cut all the hair in its path, these dont cut the hair at the end (obviously) so the user needs to open the scissors before moving them. This is not the usual way I scissor so it is hard to remember to do this.

Nice quality and sharp scissors. This is my second pair so I can have one pair at home and the other in our camper. Would not want to without them. They are nice to cut out any beginning matting in my Shidzu. Blunt ends are safe around the eyes and lips. Would definitely buy again. I have had my first pair around 4 years and still sharp.

I originally posted before and I was not satisfied but this company made it right reached out to me and fix my issue. I am happy with the scissors they work great. They are better than any other Scissors I’ve ever had. I would recommend these for trimming your dog as I use it for my Shih Tzu around her face. They are sharp and lightweight and cut really great. I bought a pair many years ago and lost them but they stayed sharp until I lost them then I purchased this pair and these are still great.

These work so well. Very quiet and sharp. No problem training my puppy to let me trim his face hair and whiskers. They are small enough that I can get where I need without poking him

These scissors are perfect! They are small with rounded tips, which makes them easy to use and SAFE! They also make less noise than regular scissors. I needed to trim the long hair around my cats bum and these little scissors did the job nicely. However, be careful and go slow, especially on a fluffy cat! The blades are sharp and carelessness could result in kittys skin getting cut. Go little by little and hold the hair below where you want to cut it (put your fingers between the blades and your cats skin, much like a human hairstylist).

Purchased these because of the nice reviews. How could so many people be so wrong! They feel nice and well made, however in cutting ability they proved substandard. Tried them on two dogs: one with coarse hair and one with fine hair with very poor results. The hair moves between the two cutting blades without proper cutting producing inaccurate cuts with the need for many more cuts, never getting it right. My hands were getting very tired and my patience and the dogs would not hold up to this! The screw appeared to be adjusted properly and there does not seem to be any damage to the blades. Went back to my old vintage scissors which I was replacing deciding that perhaps I dont need new scissors afterall since they cut without causing the hairs to move producing precise cuts, although they do lack the blunt tips. These scissors might be useful for small childrens art work. I may return them as I have no use for them. UPDATE: It was very kind of the company to replace the scissors without delay and without me having to request it. I am sad to have to leave my review rating as it stands, however, as the replacement scissors performance is not any better than the original. I was offered a refund by the company and am not being asked to return either of the scissors. That sounds like real old fashioned service to me. Much appreciated. UPDATE: I HAVE NOW RECEIVED A THIRD FREE SCISSORS! This company really wants to satisfy their customers! How refreshing. Again, I wish I could say that the third one is an improvement, but I cant. Really did want to like the third. Thank you for your efforts. Because the company is so wonderful I added a star. Wish I felt I could do more - youre just so nice. UPDATE: In all I received 5 scissors! The last 2 work well. Also received a letter stating that the scissors had been improved. They do work much better. Therefore, I have added 2 stars.

My dog is super skiddish so I’m always scared to cut him. But these scissors are sharp and precise I was able to do my dogs ears ! He also has matting so was able to cut those long hairs that were tangled.

Perfect detail grooming shears at a super price. When I misplaced mine, I made the mistake of buying a cheaper two-pack of scissors from a competing company. No bueno! I came right back to these; they are far superior. I found my other pair and now use those as a “backup.” The old ones (purchased four years ago) still work great but you can tell the new ones are sharper, naturally. They work for left or right hand.
