Texas Instruments TI-Nspire CX II CAS Color Graphing Calculator with Student Software (PC/Mac)

This thing is incredibly cheaply constructed and plasticy! The interface is ridiculously non-intuitive and the buttons barely work. Trying to use the touch screen is nothing if not nearly impossible. I had a TI-86 that worked great for over 20 years, and this thing is truly garbage by comparison. I would also like to review the reviewers of this product because I see this again and again. I couldnt understand how anyone could give this pos more than one star, so I looked at the four star reviews...The vast majority of people have really negative stuff to say about this pos, but they still gave it four stars!!!? People: you really need to grow up and give star ratings that reflect what you say not rate something high because psychologically you dont want to admit you got ripped off!

Excelente herramienta de trabajo

Muy útil para optimizar la resolución de procesos matemáticos, cuando tu objetivo no es evaluar tu habilidad matemática para resolver ejercicios, sino aplicar los resultados a un problema en específico como en el estudio de ingeniería. Diversidad de funciones, las cuales en muchos casos se pueden utilizar de manera intuitiva. Además de cálculos, permite trabajar con gráficas, las cuales en 2D tienen muchas opciones de análisis; por el contrario, las gráficas 3D si pueden quedarse limitadas cuando se desea trabajar en dicho espacio.

Yea, sucks it cost so much

I bought this for my son for his 1st year of college. He is now in his second year as an engineering student and it is still going strong.

My Son Needed one of these for school. I was balking at paying $200 plus for a calculator, Jreysjore had a used one for a little over half price. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package- it looks brand new!

Excelente calculadora científica, pero de difícil uso, es más bien una computadora programable manual, aun no logro sacar provecho de la misma, y no es tan simple utilizarla (yo la necesito para mis estudios de ingeniería), trae muchas funcionalidades y en multi-idioma, pero no venía con un manual de uso... es compleja, pero se nota que una vez que se logra entender como utilizarla debería ser una fantástica herramienta de ingeniería.

Perfect item, just expensive

The only thing that I do not care for is the Graphics interface for displaying Calculus derivatives. I can not find anything very tutorial that will allow me to enter a family of equations required for (for example) the spring-mass system or pendulum equations with damping and resistance. I am probably just not doing it right but I can not figure out what I am doing wrong and I have bought and read all 3 books relating to the TI-Nspire. none deal with second-order families of derivatives.
