> 3 dayThe computer algebra system that comes on this particular calculator is a game changer. I’m a mechanical engineering student at Texas A&M university, and this calculator saved my a** last semester in thermo, mechanics of materials, and the electrical engineering class. Being able to solve a system of 3 equations with 3 unknowns in variable form is AMAZING! I know that there are websites to do this, but the cool thing is that you can use a calculator on pretty much any test, so you are golden! Stop wasting time doing math by hand, learn the functions of this calculator and save your head from being repeatedly thrusted into a wall when you make a stupid algebraic mistake!

> 3 dayThe calculator itself is great but the navigation is just not user friendly. I feel the need to try and make the navigator like a laptops trackpad has ruined this calculator for me. It takes me multiple try’s just to click on something since the sensor for the navigation is poorly done. If the interface was done better this would be the best calculator by far but because of this I find it more efficient just to use my TI-89 titanium.

> 3 dayI use this calculator as a graduate student and professionally in the EE field. The calculator itself is great, but it’s the CAS software that interfaces with the calculator itself that makes it great. The addition of user-defined Python scripts is the greatest thing about this newer Nspire model. It’s worth every penny so you can create user-defined Python scripts for common problems with redundant input directly from the calculators interface.

Greater than one weekThis calculator was an upgrade to my TI-84, as I needed the Nspire for the imaginary portion of my Intro to Circuits class. The calculator has a lot of functions and can solve almost anything for you, including Calculus, Statistics, and can even run some games if you install them. The main drawback are the buttons, which are much less user-friendly than the classic TI-84. The buttons do not give much physical feedback compared to the 84, are much more noisy, but most importantly, sometimes it seems that the numbers do not always register, so you always have to max sure you are inputting what you are clicking.

> 3 dayUpgraded to this calculator from a TI-89 Titanium. The interface takes some getting used to, but after you get accustomed to it, it is extremely versatile and much more powerful than the TI-89. While its not as powerful as a computer-based graphing calculator (obviously a computer is going to be more powerful than the tiny, relatively cheap calculator), its the best dedicated calculator Ive ever gotten my nerdy little hands on. The only downsides is that it isnt allowed on the ACT, but neither is the TI-89 Titanium, so if its between those two, pick this one! If your only use for the calculator is going to be high school classes and standardized tests, a TI-84 model may be right for you, since its unquestionably allowed.

> 3 dayIf youre hoping to jump up from the Ti 83/84 you may have used in grade school to this thing, well its nothing like those calculators. The user interface is very picky and the mouse isnt the best. The calculator does all kinds of stuff but good luck figuring out how to do it, Even plotting a graph from points and tracing it requires going through a couple windows. I couldnt just pick up the Nspire from the 83/84 and figure it out. Ive been having to watch multiple videos and reading the manual to figure it out. Its obvious this calculator is capable of a great many things but figuring it all out will take a while. If you dont need all of these features maybe look at something more simple.

> 3 dayThis is the best calculator I ever purchased. The battery life is top-notch as I have used it for weeks on end without worrying about charging (keep in mind I dont use it everyday/ all day). The ability to learn how it functions is relatively easy. Operational videos on 3rd party sites will definitely provide you with the necessary insight. Lastly, the interface is okay as it can be overwhelming for someone new to the TI Calculator series.
