SENNHEISER HD 660 S - HiRes Audiophile Open Back Headphone

This headphone tells you how you should hear the music.. I have other headphones like the HD 58x, dt 770 pro and m40x man there is no comparison the 660s are on another level for sure

First, this was purchased as a “New” item. It was not. I will NEVER purchase anything again provided by Worldwide Stereo. This is the second time I received an “open box “ item. As far as the cans themselves…..they are nothing special. If you have superb hearing, the highs are almost ear piercing at times. Even at low levels. Build quality is toy like. There are much better phones out there for far less money. I do not recommend these.

Tuve los Sennheiser 650 y la vdd no me acomodaron; sin embargo éstos son una maravilla. Los uso con un FiiO M9 y puedes escuchar todos los detalles de la música. Los uso para escuchar rock, heavy metal y música clásica. Los recomiendo ampliamente para todos los melómanos.

There is a lot to like about these headphones, which are an update to the classic HD 650. Ive never owned the 650, so this review is nostalgia-free. :-)

I really liked the sound and would have kept these if they werent so horribly uncomfortable. Everything about the sound was great. These could have been an end game pair of cans based on sound. However, the comfort level was awful, within minutes I was getting a dull ache around my ears and 15 minutes in the discomfort was unbearable. I returned these and went with Focal Clear OGs.

SuperB quality.

Other people can probably give a much more detailed review regarding the sound quality, whereas my review doesnt extend much beyond they sound really good However, Ive listened to other headphones that are cheaper and sound just as good if not better.

Forgive my language, but these are the best headphones Ive ever tried. Ive only been using them for an hour since they arrived and I just had to share my experience. Normally, I dont buy gear like this, but I wanted the best for my home recording studio. (I have Universal Audio Apollo Twin interface.) These headphones are soooo clear - I hear everything, good and bad on my mixes. And commercial recordings are just a joy to listen to. And the padding is so soft and gentle, its like being wrapped in an audio blanket.

This headphone is good, but not a great buy compared to Sennheisers own HD 600/650/6xx series.

Using a Sound Blaster Z sound card for this, along with Dolby Atmos for headphones and DTS:X Headphones, using Dolby Atmos mostly. The sound quality is superb.
