SENNHEISER HD 660 S - HiRes Audiophile Open Back Headphone

Ive owned 660Ss for years now. Theyre so expensive Ive only taken them out for listening to music from a Bifrost DAC/Magni headphone amp. Ive loved the quality of the sound. Im too simple to use audiophile jargon. They just sound right.

Sound is very subjective, so take this with a grain of sand.

Bought these based off the Zeos review of them ... I liked the 600/650 but the soundstage was too small to also game in them but the 660S fixed that.

The best in everything. I have had this for almost 2 1/2 years & love them so much; I would have to say my favorite thing in my overly cluttered studio. I have already decided to buy another pair when have the money. I was sketched about dropping so much money (when my guitar didn’t even cost as much/and laptop at the time)

Over all this is a very nice set of headphones. More than very nice - the sound quality is excellent. Movies are a delight, music is fully expressed to the smallest detail. In comparison to previous headphones, all of which are around $150 price point, the fidelity on these is noticeably better. As Im not an expert I cant speak to whether or not these are Flat - but they have drastically improved daily listening. When a product makes something that you do on a nearly constant basis, way more fun and enjoyable, it seems to me that its proven its value.

Compared this model with the Hifiman HE560 V4, then the Sundara, then the Sennheiser HD650. Finally, I found the winner in Sennheiser HD 660S for build quality, and excellent sound in all areas of treble/mid/bass performance.

They are great headphones. I listen to them while gaming on my pc and also when watching 4k UHD Bluray Discs. The Atmos sound shows very well on these.

Bought this on the Black Friday discounted price and boy am I glad. This sounds amazing paired with my Willsenton R8 tube amp. Very premium looking, feeling and sounding product. The popular Sony, Bose and other mainstream headphones cant compare. I understand these only get better after a few hours of burn in. The packaging, cables and materials all communicate a level of quality that is premium and worthy of the MSRP price. The fact I got this at a deep BF discounted price only makes it all the more better.

Sound quality is ok somehow no bass and hissing noise is coming ! Returning it .
