> 3 dayThese headphones have been great. They produce sound as intended by the producer. Bass isnt excessive. Noise cancelation isnt relevant as these are open-back. I would recommend using these with a DAC as the quality will be much better.

> 3 dayBass Not over emphasized, mids and highs are very bright. Like some reviews say, mids and highs are clinical sounding. I can’t say these sound bad, I just like a little more mellowness to my headphones if that makes sense.

> 3 dayIm generally of the opinion that the word classic gets thrown around too often in the world of headphones, but I have to say, for as old and storied as the Sennheiser HD600s are, they truly embody the title in every way possible. As far as mid-fi headphones go, I dont look to any other can out there, and to tell the truth theyre actually my most used pair of headphones simply because the sound signature is so appealing and easy to listen to and appreciate.

15-11-2024I have been a Sennheiser fan for many years and still have the Sennheiser 414s from the 70s (and they still sound great). I wanted a good headphone to go with my Rotel RX-1050 receiver/amplifier because it reproduces sound so beautifully. In the Sennheiser 600s I got what I wanted and then some. They are a sheer listening pleasure. As other reviewers have mentioned, they do not work well with a portable CD player and would need an amp to perform properly. They are execellent with a good home stereo but they do let you hear exactly what is on your source, so with lower quality equipment, they will sound only as good as your stuff (garbage in, garbage out -- dont blame the 600s). These earphones are the best I have ever listened to. They are a joy to use. They fit reasonably comfortably but could get warm with prolonged use. Overall they are an excellent addition to any audiophiles equipment. My only (minor) gripe is the rather flimsy cable that comes standard. I am thinking of purchasing the Equinox cable (which has gotten excellent reviews) or making my own custom cable to further enchance the sound of these wonderful cans.

> 3 dayI heard this pair of headphones for the first time while recording live acoustic performances in college and was blown away by how clear and accurate they sounded compared to real life. I heard all different types of instruments (strings, brass, winds, voice) in every configuration and all sounded exactly like real life to me. Fast forward a few years when I have a real job and can afford a pair for myself. I paired them with the

> 3 dayThese are definitely the best headphones Ive ever heard. I owned a pair of Sennheiser HD Pros and was happy with them until I stepped on them and broke them beyond repair. Comparing them to the HD600s is like comparing a Chevy to a Cadillac. All the 5 star reviews are true and I really cant expand on them too much. The guy that said you will be rediscovering your music collection had it right! They are expensive, but if music means as much to you as it does to me, the HD 600s are a worthwhile purchase.

Greater than one weekWell, everyone seems to be writing 5 star reviews, and I cant add too much to that. Let me try and come at them from maybe some different angles. The presentation box they came in is gorgeous...really gives you confidance in their quality as soon as you see it. They are probably the most comfortable headphones Ive owned. I had concerns over their power requirements, but they seem to play beautifully on the dedicated headphone amp on my Marantz SACD player. I dont think they are at all finicky about the power they require. I had reservations about this open Aire approach, dreading that they might disturb my wife while during my frequent bouts of insomnia in the wee small hours. They allow hardly any sound to escape, much like closed air phones. You can carry on a conversation easily while wearing them and listening to music.

Greater than one weekHaving owned my HD 600s for over a decade.5.......i set them down and tried about 30 pairs of headphones this last year 2014- 2015. I tried Orthos in the $800 range by Hifi and Fostex and Oppo, and i tried every $299 - $499 that has been released in the last 3 years that everyone like you is wondering about.
