> 24 hourI have owned mine around 10 years and got these for a friend. They are superb. Clear, accurate, comfortable and dont cause listening fatigue.

> 24 hourI purchased these bundled with the Apogee Groove, and planned on selling these because I already have great headphones, and mainly wanted the Apogee Groove. However, these sounded so wonderful, I couldnt part with them, and for now, Im keeping both. When Ive compared other $200-$400 headphones in the past, the differences have seemed relatively subtle, but with these, instruments just seem more real, and the music sounds more spacious.

> 24 hourIf youre after accurate sound reproduction, these may be for you. They have an appropriate amount of bass and treble. They are not boomy like some headphones; they are designed to be accurate for mixing. I really enjoy them for casual listening. They provide a very nice amount of detail. You can always take a neutral sounding pair of headphones (like these) and add in some base with equalization or warmth with a tube preamp, but it would be difficult to make, for example, a boomy or v-shaped sound signature headphone sound neutral. I think these are fantastic headphones. I do recommend an amplifier with these headphones; they will not sound nearly as nice plugging them directly into a cellphone, for example, given their impedance. Also, keep in mind these are open-back headphones, so others around you will hear the music and you will also pickup environmental sounds; the latter of which I prefer.

> 24 hourfirst of all, this pair of headphones exhibits details i have not previously heard from any others in this price range. im sure that there are other opinions on this, but my opinion of these is based on my experience with headphones i have had in the past and these just blow the others away. if they dont extract the details from whatever media is being used, what good are they? i expect very much more from higher end headphones than how loud they can play. soundstaging, the size of the room being recorded in and the precision of blending in the recording of all the instruments is very important. these headphones yield these attributes with astonishing ease. for a dynamic type headphone in this price point, they are superior to others. headphone listeners can be a very opinionated bunch. they want different things from there headphones, but they all want to enjoy the music they listen to. these headphones deliver that enjoyment to me and do so with ease and grace. theyre comfortable to your head without the pinching effects of some cheaper and less well thought out designs. your opinion may vary from mine and thats okay, but im very satisfied with these guys and sennheiser has a winner here.

> 24 hourThese are absolutely amazing. Powerful, clear, great soundfield, amazing bass. I had to pull them off to make sure my sub wasnt actually on, the bass is so rich.

> 24 hourIf youre starting out with buying stereo headphones, start with these. The open back design makes for a better presentation when playing music and the drop off in treble (some call it the sennheiser veil) prevents it from being an overly shiny pair of headphones. Proper tuning with a graphic equalizer is essential, in my opinion, but your mileage may vary with these. As always, a good DAC and headphone amp is recommended, even if this particular pair of headphones terminates to 3.5mm jack. I bought the HD 650 stock cable because for $24 you will have a huge improvement in sound bandwidth.

> 24 hourI have gotten rid of many of my headphones even analytical neutral closed backs and open backs as the companies fail to sell oem replacement pads. Ive tried other brands pads on other headphones and it just wrecks the sound. I had enough, and the HD600 has been around since the 1990s and is well known and an industry standard. No to other brands who fail to sell oem replacement pads. I dont subscribe headphone purchases based on running out of earpads. This is endgame for me, plugged into monoprice thx aaa amp. Sennheiser made the HD600 modular and parts swappable, and has the parts on their website. That is how to support your customers and is morally respectable. Just replace earpads or cables through time with the same sound over and over again. Anybody who gets headphones that the manufacturer doesnt sell the oem earpads, will end up having altered headphones in time or buying again or elsewhere. Many companies dont sell their pads alone, do your research. It really makes the whats the best headphone list super short when the oem pads wear out without a way to get the oem pads! My favorite headphones from many used.

> 24 hourBest headphones, or cans, I have ever owned. I used to use Beats studio 2.0’s for the past 5 years for music/gaming. These do not compare.
