> 3 dayWow! thats it, Wow! I have a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort wireless, Audio Technica BT-M50 wireless and Marshall Major IV wireless and all sound great in thier own way but these Sennheizers are superior! The previous mentioned cans deliver great sound all of them very balanced with the Audio Technica being the best out of the three when it comes to highs, mids and lows. The Bose and the Marshalls pretty equal with the Bose probably a little more separation but the Marshalls deliver better bass. Now the Sennheizers. First off, I was a bit hesitant in pulling the trigger on getting these because of some of the reviews saying the bass wasnt as prominent as other headsets. Wrong, the Sennheizers deliver plenty of bass and the separation in the highs and mids are very distinct. I have an ear for heavy bass and prefer a strong bass presence and these cans did not disappoint. I listen to primarily rock with heavy bass influence such as Gary Numan, Genesis, Black Sabbath, Korn, Katatonia, Opeth etc. and it came through loud and clear. Is the sound different being open back, yes, it sounds more like your in a studio not so contained, the sound is more airy if can use that description. As far as the quality they are built very sturdy, comfortable to wear with the earpads covering the whole ear. They are snug so if your sensitive to tightness around your head and ears it might be a problem but they didnt bother me. In closing Im glad I purchased these cans and after the first use have become my favorite. Oh BTW, if your looking for noise cancelation or bluetooth these arent for you, but if you want to listen to your music in superior sound hooked up to your stereo system these are the ones.

> 3 dayNever thought I could justify spending $600 on a set of headphones. Then I took the leap and bought them (based on reviews). Now I know why you can justify $600 on a set of headphones. Not even normal how good these babies are! Quality, comfort and experience - well worth the investment. Ive owned dozens of quality headphones over the years - NOTHING compared to these babies. DO IT! Trust me.

> 3 dayJust simply the best value headphones period. I really want these babies to last me to old age because I do not ever see myself replacing these for anything.

> 3 dayAmazing, simply amazing. This is my first set of higher end headphones and I just love them. My only criticism is that theyre just a bit light in the very low end, like, say, 50Hz and under. But thats a very minor quibble and can be easily remedied with a bit of subtle bass boost from your amp.

> 3 dayThe Sennheiser HD 600 has been an industry standard for a number of years. I purchased the last HD 600 nearly 8 years ago and have purchased a new one now. Although there has not been sufficient time for burn-in the phones are superbly accurate (especially in the midrange: vocals, woodwinds, etc.) as well as in the wonderfully detailed highs (in an odd turn of events I happened to find that the HD 600 was not much less in the highs than my Koss electrostatics). This pair has excellent bass down to 22hz (lost it there) -3db under 70hz. The bass has more impact. Not made for bass-heads, its clean superb bass is grand. The highs are pristine, string sheen is superb-the 600 has about all you could want from a headphone. Note: If you wear them a lot I suggest you purchase new head pads and cord once a year as this wonderfully soft material wears down with heavy use. The HD 600 provides an in the concert hall sound, good sound stage. Have never ever heard or read an unkind word about the HD600s. They are a wonderful (open back) phone and although my 8 year old pair work splendidly am glad to have a tighter fit back again.l

Greater than one weekI really like these headphones. They have a flat frequency response, in that they emphasise neither the bass nor treble part of the audio spectrum. In the past I have favoured headphones with a strong bass output, but now Im a convert to a more neutral response. Im hearing detail that was not apparent in older, cheaper headphones I have used. I find them very comfortable to wear.
