Sennheiser HD 600 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

Delightful! I chanced upon Brookos Reviews at head-fi.org. He wrote a very thorough article on his comparison of the Sennheiser HD600 and HD650. This was very helpful. I spent more on these headphones than planned, but Im glad I did.

I picked these up last Christmas 2017 & overnight they replaced four other pairs of headphones I have! I do prefer the neutral sound signature of these vs other pairs that claim to be studio monitors but in reality arent neutral.

I purchased this because of the rave reviews Ive been reading about, and boy was I happy to finally be able to listen to it personally. I was blown away by the detail of sound its able to produce. Im also glad it pairs well with my Schiit stack. The only thing I didnt like is the cable; its so damn long. But overall, Im really glad I got it. It far exceeded my expectations, sound-wise. I would highly recommend it to someone whos looking for a decent set of cans on a budget. This is the best open-back headphones out there in this price range, so go grab one. :)

Best pair of headphones Ive ever owned. I would hate them without an amp and without an equalizer (drop those harsh mids!), but that may just be my preference.

First foray into quality headphones and I am very happy with the product.... and they are super comfortable after adjustment. These headphones have been partnered with the OPPO HA-2 headphone amplifier, it is a great combination.

Simply wonderful! Im very happy with these headphones. In addition to sounding great, they are comfortable to wear for long periods. Im a long-time fan of Sennheiser, since listening to their open air headphones back around 1972.

The best Ive used for classical music.

I owned a pair of Sennheiser HD60s for many years, until they recently gave up the ghost. It has long been one of the top-rated headphones on the market, so I decided to purchase the model again, especially after reading all the positive reviews. I know many readers will consider this silly and inconsequential, but first, a couple of purely cosmetic issues that dont affect performance: 1) My previous HD60s, bothered to have small decals on each side, indicating L and R, so youd know which way the phones were wired. The new HD60s have dispensed with that nicety. 2) Even more bothersome, it that the logo SENNHEISER embossed on the headband is off center, skewed way to the right. Why? And who does this? It reminds me of that Plan Ahead cartoon where the last two letters are askew and falling off the edge of the page because someone didnt plan ahead. Having the logo offset to the right like it is, is just ugly and looks really cheap. Why wouldnt it be centered?
