First of all, I had two 1TB Sandisk SSDs (from Costco) on my iMac plugged into the USB-C ports. The Mac didnt recognized the drives on a soft reboot and I eventually got tired of fiddling with them. The Samsung works flawlessly with the Mac USB-C port and is noticably faster than the Sandisk. I mean really faster.

It took a little while for the computer to read the drive. I thought maybe the connecting cable was defective. I kept jiggling it. Finally, it showed up on the computer. This happens quite often. Im not sure why. Im running Windows 10 on a fast computer. Anyways, if you can deal with the clunky interface, once it is recognized, transfers are very quick. Quite impressive. NIce, blue color, too. Lightweight-easy to carry in a shirt pocket. About the size of a credit card. OK, a little bigger but not much. This review is for the 500 GB version.

I was a little concerned about the reviews saying that this drive overheats, but I went ahead and decided to try it out. I bought it for my PS5 to store my PS4 games on and so far it has been a great drive! Ive played off of it for several hours at a time over the last couple of days and its has not overheated or given me any problems at all. It does get warm after awhile, but so has every external drive Ive ever used. I dont know how well it works with PCs, but I you need extra storage for a gaming console, this is a pretty good buy.

Mostly working from home because of COVID, I need to move large video projects between the office and the house. Moving these files used to mean hauling around a large external drive with spinning disks. Now those same files can fit in the back pocket of my jeans. I am very happy with this product!

The drive has been rock solid since I got it. It gets constant use and the performance is amazing compared to that SSD drive that came with the Intel NUC that this is attached to.

Currently using this for my PS5 in one of the back usb ports and it works great!

Bought this drive to have a place to store pictures without paying recurring fees on google photos. The drive ended up having soo much space that I ended up backing up my entire computer and it still got loads of space
