Upon receiving the drive I attempted to transfer a 2 GB video file from my laptop using the included USB-C to USB-C cable. The transfer was expected to take 26 hours! Using an 8 GB USB-A thumb drive the same file can be transferred in less than 4 minutes. I cannot recommend this SSD backup drive. 2 stars because I liked the design.

> 3 dayThe heat that many mentioned as an issue was there only during the initial file transfer of huge files. When I transferred 500g of files it was hot. However, once the transfer was complete, there was no issue at all with heat, and the speed is very noticably faster. I would recommend this product.

31-10-2024Bought this so I could still play my PS4 games after buying a PS5. It freed up a lot of space and made it much easier to enjoy my games. Plugged it in and transfered over what I needed to and now I can play them without having to worry about redownloading or deleting them to make room to play something else.
