Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I really thought I needed a .m2 drive but decided to save some money and try the Samsung EVO SSD. This thing is incredible. Ive never seen a PC start so quick in my life. It boots in like 10 seconds or less. Something ridiculous like that. Hell, this starts up faster than my Galaxy S7. Lol.

Bought it for my PS4 Pro to improve load times. Its very easy to install and transfer files to SSD. I have a samsung ssd and samsung nvme in my computers and Im pleased with their performance and durability.

I use one for the os and one for gaming. Thats a good drive.

I bought 1 of these about a year ago when building my pc everything is fine with that one. I bought another one in August and its defective. The SSD from August makes the computer stutter/lag for about 1 to 2 seconds every 3-5 minutes. Irt is very disruptive and annoying. They mustve had a little quality issue back in july/august since I am not the only one according to other reviews.

I have one day with this SDD installed in my computer, and it really impressed me how SILENT it is! Well, its my first time with a SDD, but the data transfer and the overall speed of my desktop really improved. So far, so great!

Now that Samsung has discovered an inexpensive manufacturing process, expect these drives to increase in size and decrease in $/MB. Accompanying optimization software incorporates Optima memory designs, but other reviews have shown no benefit in performance UNLESS you are repeated accessing the same areas of the SSD. (Even then the increase is barely noticeable.) Installs easily. Put your most-used games on this SSD and your OS on a different SSD (which can be smaller). Add a cheap hard drive for your documents, spreadsheets, etc., as they dont need fast drive service. Good drive - glad I spent the $ to add it.
