Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I love that this SSD works perfectly with a PS4 Pro. It cuts loading times and significantly improves frame rate. For example, a game like Monstet Hunter World without an SSD would take almost a full minute to load a stage, with the SSD the loading is practically nonexistent. Literally takes 10 seconds or less. Definitely worth getting if you’re looking to upgrade your gaming PC or your PS4 Pro. I don’t recommend it for standard PS4 though, the change in performance is not that significant.

This was the biggest hit of all the Christmas presents we gave out. It went on sale by a huge amount before Christmas so my brother was shocked when he received a 1 TB SSD hard drive instead of a traditional 1 TB, especially with it being a super reputable Samsung SSD. He had no problems installing it in his desktop and luckily already had a shelf so he didn’t need a mounting bracket, and I knew enough about computers that a simple photo of his motherboard box allowed me to choose something that would fit. However, as someone who no longer has a desktop and hasn’t installed an SSD into anything but a laptop, it would’ve been nice to see COMPATIBLE 3.5” to 2.5” mounting brackets suggested just in case he didn’t have a shelf in his desktop case as the description doesn’t adequately address many things, nor does it offer detailed images. If I personally didn’t know so daggone much about hard drive configurations, I would’ve passed this one over due to the terrible quality of the description. Great product, horrible description for anyone who hasn’t repeatedly disassembled and reassembled many different desktops and laptops over the years (AKA the AVERAGE consumer)! Help your customers choose your product more easily, seller!

Excellent product, I just installed it in my iMac 21.5 late 2013 and its great! I feel like I have a brand new machine!

I was running out of space on my C drive which was a Samsung 250GB. Bought the 860 EVO 500GB and using Samsungs software was able to copy C over to the new drive, a perfect mirror. After copying the software said to turn off my computer and remove the old drive and replace it with the new 500GB. The program even named the drive C, which becomes a problem when using other copy software. Cant say enough for the new drive and Samsungs software.

Easy to install and performs very well. This SSD can cut down boot up time and copying and pasting big files. Highly recommend. Definitely good for reviving old pcs/laptops and/or upgrading your device.

Decent amount of space (4TB), and the price dropped quite enough to be barely palatable (~ 1,000 USD at the time of writing this).

This drastically reduced my waiting time on bootup from sleep mode and startup. Would highly recommend. The easiest way to transfer you data and operating system from your old harddrive is by direct cloning. The star tech sata docking/cloning station is great for this. Link below.

Ive always used an HDD for my home rigs, so the hard drive has always been a bottleneck for me. I couldnt pass this thing up for the size and price. My system boots up in seconds, applications load in seconds, and Ive had it installed for a few months now with no issues or errors. Its probably not the fastest SSD on the market in terms of Mb/sec and IOPS, but for what I do at home this was all I needed.
