    I already had the BENFEI USB 3.0 to SATA Adapter, USB to SSD Adapter w/UASP Compatible for 2.5 inch HDD and SSD and I did a Backup using Acronis the night before the Samsung SSD 1Tb arrived. Attached the cable to the USB port and the other end to the SSD. Went to Disk Management, did a format on the SSD drive. Then Powered off the Laptop and installed the SSD in the Laptop. Ran the Acronis Recovery. Once done the Laptop came right up on the SSD. The Laptop is now faster on boot up and running most everything else.

    Easy to install. Very fast. light weight. Have on in an all-in-one desktop, one in a laptop and one in a tower desktop. All are fast, heavily used and dependable. Will be buying more of these for any future computers. Great buy.

    500 GB easily replaced a 1 TB hard drive, as I dont store much on it. Huge speed increase, especially when Windows is doing a virus scan which used to slow the PC to a crawl, now I dont even notice that. Windows 10 Updates go very fast as it does not have to seek all over. Nothing to wear out or crash either.

    Made a huge difference in running all programs for my computer why anyone would use a spin drive to run an operating system is crazy to me. Maybe for large data storage but for everyday running programs see is the way to go.

    This SSD is very fast. The software that came with it to mitigate from the old hard drive works flawlessly. I do IT work and this was by far the easiest to mitigate the data from 1 drive to the next. I didnt experience any data loss and it even kept my remapping of the system folders to my secondary drive.
