I do a lot of cycling and some running. I used to get very painful leg cramps after high intensity workouts. Started using SaltSticks and the cramps are gone. Im not afraid of getting cramps while riding or late at night in bed. Very flavorful. No chalky after taste. I still use it and will continue to use...

I moved to a hot and humid region about three years ago. The heat has been so hard on me that I have had to cut my running from about 40 miles a week down to 20 miles a week because my body ached so much during my runs. Not just my legs at the end of a long run, but my entire body just aches and aches during short runs. I knew that the issue was hydration, but water alone wasnt cutting it, even Smartwater. I ended up suffering from kidney stones, which my doctor attributed to general dehydration. A coworker suggested I look into some sort of electrolyte replenishing product to take during my runs. I did some research and was able to pick up a couple of sticks of Saltstick caps at a running event. I tried them on a long run on a not terribly warm, yet still humid day (68 degrees, about 80% humidity). I took two chews with about a cup of water 30 minutes before I ran a 1:45 run, and I ate one chew with a drink of water every 15 minutes during my run. The results were UNBELIEVABLE! I had NO ACHES or SORENESS at all during the run. I felt the natural fatigue in my legs at the end of my run, but I did not have any of the upper body soreness or overall aches Id typically experienced when running under those conditions. I tested the chews again under warmer conditions (90 minute run, 74 degrees, 90% humidity), which were perfect conditions for the general soreness I began experiencing when I moved here. For this run, I took two chews with about a cup of water 30 minutes before I ran, and I ate TWO chews with a drink of water every 15 minutes during my run. Again, I had the natural fatigue at the end of my run, but I had NO general aches or soreness! I feel like these chews have changed my life and I am so relieved that I can start working my way back up to my former running volume! The one minor caveat I have about the chews is that I have noticed that the following day I need to go to the bathroom far more often than usual, but that is worth it for the relief these chews have brought me.

I cannot express how awful the watermelon is. The initial flavor is nice but then you get this horrible, I mean just GOD AWFUL salt taste. I threw the bottle away after two tablets, I ate the second only because I believed the first had to be a fluke. It was not. The orange is great and has replaced Saltstick gel caps with caffeine as my go to for runs past 45 minutes.

I’ll never run a race without these again! I used to get really bad side aches during races or when I was pushing the pace. I now take these every 30 mins or so during races and long runs and I haven’t had any issues since! The tart orange is my favorite flavor. They’re easy to chew and taste great. I highly recommend for all runners and endurance athletes!

I take 2-3 of these while I am on my long runs. I can say not only do they taste good but they make me feel less dizzy and keeps my energy up.

My daughter has a condition which leads to frequent dehydration symptoms, despite drinking 7-10 liters of water daily. Salt Stick is one of her preferred tools for managing her condition and avoiding headaches and fatigue, particularly in hot weather (anything over 70 is miserable for her.) These chews are easy for her to keep in her backpack and add to her regimen of constant ice water. I have also found them helpful occasionally when I wake up with a headache. They taste good and really help me get going faster. It should be obvious, but these need to be taken WITH plenty of water!

Expensive but works immediately. Easy to take during sweaty exercise and activity.

Took these with us into the Grand Canyon. Chewed a couple every hour or so during the hot and strenuous parts of the hike, along with drinking plenty of water. More convenient than messing around adding powders or mixes into our water bladders.

I am in LOVE with the fastchews. This particular flavor is my favorite as it isnt overwhelming and honestly was quite pleasant to use on really hot days. I am an avid hiker and used this product while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail and the Foothills trail. I needed consistent help when it came to regulating my electrolytes. I was having regular bouts of feeling lightheaded, sluggish, and a few times nearly ready to faint from temperature swings causing me to sweat too much too quickly. When you are on a thru-hike this can happen quickly and you need to take immediate action. I keep a small amount of the fastchews in my hip pocket of my pack where I can access them easily when needed without even taking my pack off. I needed to get in a better habit of consistently nurturing my body rather than running it ragged until I was in a troubled state. The fastchews are a bit more pleasant for me to use than the pill version while continuing to move, and they are just so easy and desirable because of the flavors.
