> 3 dayThese are the absolute best! We took the ones we already had on our cabinets when we moved and bought new ones to make up the difference in our new house. The older ones have been used for 3 years now and work like new. We use them wherever there is a drawer or cabinet we dont want the kids to get in to including kitchen drawers and cabinets, bathroom drawers, and the media cabinet.

Greater than one weekTOOLS- Ruler, Pencil, small tipped Screwdriver, Basic Math Skills Not that hard to install if you... 1) Ditch the enclosed instructions & templates 2) Open the cabinet door 3) From the TOP edge of cabinet door, measure DOWN to where you want the TOP of the lock to be located (keep it simple w/ whole numbers-3 or 4 inches should do!) 4) Mark spot on the INSIDE edge of the DOOR (Remember- this will be the height of the TOP edge of the Lock) 5) Close the door 6) Again, from TOP edge measure same distance down but... 7) Mark spot on OUTSIDE of frame 8) Open the door 9) Place the Strike Plates TOP edge level w/ frame mark AND flush with the front edge of frame (the FLAT side of the Plate MUST FACE OUT!) 10) Screw in the Strike Plate TRICKY PART- The Strike Plates I have are all 7/16th of an inch across the FLAT side. To eliminate clearance problems & ensure smooth closing I increase this to 1/2 inch in my calculations. 1) Close the door 2) Mark the edge of your Door on the OUTSIDE of your frame 3) Open the door 4) Measure from new mark to the edge of the opening on the inside 5) ADD a 1/2 inch to this measure 6) On the INSIDE edge of your door (at the original height mark), measure your calculated distance INWARD & mark with a line (this is where the TOP edge of the LOCK should go) Example- 4 inches DOWN from top and 1-1/8 inches INWARD from side 7) Screw the TOP screw into the lock & test for proper closure 8) Adjust as needed & install 2nd screw 8) Erase pencil marks and enjoy

> 3 dayI dont want to give this one star but.... I bought these and installed three of them, simple to do, and they work great, actually ordered more before I even finished this project because I liked how well they work. But, the last lock I went to install was broken and would not lock with out some great effort... something I was not willing to do. I tried everything I know possible to find a way to contact the manufacturer and tell them this one was broken and please send me a replacement. I was not about to uninstall three I had already installed! NOTHING... I have no way to contact the seller and try to get this fixed so, I have to give them 1 star for customer support and the fact that I am no out one lock that I needed to keep my kiddos safe. If they contact me after reading this I will gladly give them a great rating but right now, I have no other recourse!

> 3 dayIm very impressed with these locks. They secure the cabinets much better than the more traditional style safety locks. My daughter cant even get her little fingers in there at all. The cheaper ones leave room for kids to get a grip on the cabinet and occasionally pop them open which defeats the purpose. I also really like the option to switch the locks off so I dont have to keep using the key (magnet) to unlock the doors everytime if Im cooking a lot that day. It can be a little annoying to have to use the key everytime on multiple cabinets. Overall Im very secure my daughter wont get into the cabinet with cleanin supplies. Also note that if you lose the key (magnet) any slightly strong magnet should do the trick.

> 3 dayThese locks are easy to install, work on almost any cupboard, and provide a nice snug close. Without the magnetic key, doors do not come open easily or are able to be forced open. Additionally locks provide an alternative, always unlocked feature with a simply push button. Highly recommend product for potential customers.

17-11-2024Make sure that you are very comfortable with a power drill and have a gentle hand before endeavoring to install these. It is a tricky to install and the instructions arent super clear. But once you get them in place, they are fabulous. I love that we can leave them unlocked when our baby isnt around and lock them when he is here. And the magnet idea makes it really easy to open once you figure out the invisible spot to place it on at the door.

> 3 dayThe adhesive locks I got started to fall off, so I replaced them with these. Obviously they are much more reliable. These also have a better lock/unlock mechanism than my old ones.

Greater than one weekMaybe these aren’t necessary when it comes to child proofing and you could opt for the cheaper ones, but let me tell you my primary reason why I love these the most.. my daughter doesn’t pull on the cabinets with these on them, repeatedly banging them ever-so-slightly open and shut like what she does with the cheapo cabinet locks that allow the cabinet to open a tad. That’s a sanity-saver right there. I also love that these can be disabled if need be. I stick the key on the frig when not in use.

> 3 dayThis is definitely trick to install - you have to be really careful not to drill through your doors! The magnet seems very strong. But, for our doors (laminate), to unlock this lock, we have to push the door closed while using the magnet to get it to unlock. And, one batch of the 4 four-packs we bought didnt seem to work very well. Everything is lined up correctly but if you tug on the door, it still opens. Theyre definitely prettier than the locks you put on the outside of your cabinets and dont pinch your fingers like other ones. And, the 3 four-packs that did work seem to work very well.

> 3 dayWe first put the latch type safety locks on our drawers and cabinets. Our son was 15 mths at the time and figured those out. He could also squeeze his hand in and get anything within reach. These magnet locks are fantastic. Even when he somehow manages to get his hands on the key, he hasnt figured out how to use it. Make sure to keep the key nearby. We put a bright keychain on the key so it was easy to find on our cluttered fridge. My husband did throw the key in one of the locked drawers once. He had to break the lock to get it out - so the lock works well! Now we have two sets in case that happens again.
