> 3 dayWorks as advertised. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws on the catches or they will crack (theyre plastic). If youre screwing these in by hand, you wont have this problem. If youre using a cordless drill, be sure to adjust your max torque settings appropriately!

> 3 dayWe had weirdly shaped cupboards, of course, so it took a while to figure out how to install the locks such that we wouldnt have finger-pinching gaps. But we did, and they work great! Four locks is not very many, since what I tend to think of as one cabinet is actually two doors. Even though I bought an extra magnetic key I probably wouldve been better off buying more locks (each package of four locks comes with a key) and sealing off more cupboards.

> 3 dayMy kids were able to open every other type of lock (including the ones for refrigerators and toilets). The magnet locks are the only type they couldn’t get past without a magnet. Only downside - no magnets can be on the fridge LOL as my kids figured out other magnets work when they can’t find the magnet “key”. They’re 5 and almost 10 now and the locks are still working for us. Highly recommend!! Fingers crossed the cable magnet lock for the refrigerator works just as well as we still find the need to keep the kids out of the food in the cabinets and freezer (ice cream thieves LOL)

> 3 dayWe have both TotLoks and the Safety 1st child locks. The TotLoks look like a bit of a contraption and the magnets fall apart if dropped. The locks themselves though are very strong, and theyre much smaller than the Safety 1st locks. They will fit in more places. The Safety-1st locks have much nicer magnets and overall are easier to install/use and work better in normal operation--- but if an adult yanks on a locked door with any force without care, assuming it should open, the Safety 1st lock internally shatters and ceases to work. The TotLoks dont. Minus one star for breaking easily, minus one more for being bulky enough that we had to cut notches in some cabinets/drawers so they would fit. These could be the perfect child lock if both were fixed.

> 3 dayIve installed numerous drawer locking gadgets, none of them satisfactory until I acquired this product which is vastly superior to any others Ive tried. I was somewhat concerned that their installation would be difficult, but in fact they installed easily and provide a secure, easily unlocked solution. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayWe first put the latch type safety locks on our drawers and cabinets. Our son was 15 mths at the time and figured those out. He could also squeeze his hand in and get anything within reach. These magnet locks are fantastic. Even when he somehow manages to get his hands on the key, he hasnt figured out how to use it. Make sure to keep the key nearby. We put a bright keychain on the key so it was easy to find on our cluttered fridge. My husband did throw the key in one of the locked drawers once. He had to break the lock to get it out - so the lock works well! Now we have two sets in case that happens again.

13-11-2024The adhesive locks I got started to fall off, so I replaced them with these. Obviously they are much more reliable. These also have a better lock/unlock mechanism than my old ones.

> 3 dayTOOLS- Ruler, Pencil, small tipped Screwdriver, Basic Math Skills Not that hard to install if you... 1) Ditch the enclosed instructions & templates 2) Open the cabinet door 3) From the TOP edge of cabinet door, measure DOWN to where you want the TOP of the lock to be located (keep it simple w/ whole numbers-3 or 4 inches should do!) 4) Mark spot on the INSIDE edge of the DOOR (Remember- this will be the height of the TOP edge of the Lock) 5) Close the door 6) Again, from TOP edge measure same distance down but... 7) Mark spot on OUTSIDE of frame 8) Open the door 9) Place the Strike Plates TOP edge level w/ frame mark AND flush with the front edge of frame (the FLAT side of the Plate MUST FACE OUT!) 10) Screw in the Strike Plate TRICKY PART- The Strike Plates I have are all 7/16th of an inch across the FLAT side. To eliminate clearance problems & ensure smooth closing I increase this to 1/2 inch in my calculations. 1) Close the door 2) Mark the edge of your Door on the OUTSIDE of your frame 3) Open the door 4) Measure from new mark to the edge of the opening on the inside 5) ADD a 1/2 inch to this measure 6) On the INSIDE edge of your door (at the original height mark), measure your calculated distance INWARD & mark with a line (this is where the TOP edge of the LOCK should go) Example- 4 inches DOWN from top and 1-1/8 inches INWARD from side 7) Screw the TOP screw into the lock & test for proper closure 8) Adjust as needed & install 2nd screw 8) Erase pencil marks and enjoy

> 3 dayThey work really well. Just a little bit difficult to install due to the small size of the screws, but thats just because my hands are big. The instructions and the sticky placement guides make it much easier to install the locks than I thought it was going to be. Im going to be buying more of these soon!

14-11-2024Everyone loves this product. The locking system is completely invisible from the outside and is strong enough to stop a 2 year old toddler. I love that here is a locked/unlocked switch present if you are going to access the cabinet multiple time. Installation is slight nuance, since it was difficult to figure out the sticker guides that was included in the package, but the screws holes are slightly adjustable to make for a perfect fit.
