Repticare Infared Ceramic Heat Emitter (100 watt)

I like the ceramic heaters better then the bulb ones. i had a bulb heat light break when I misted the cage. Glass got in the cage. I have never had a ceramic on break on me.

So far these have worked just fine to keep my baby chicks warm. They are nice as they do not make light and the chicks have night without being kept awake. That way is more natural for them. If it is really cold I put a cover over the top of the brooder to make it warmer at night.

Product is as described and works great, the only downside was that this was a part of a very necessary and urgent heat source setup for my Hedgehog, considering the -30°F week weve had, and 2-day shipping turned into 6 days.

These are much cheaper than in the pet stores. The quality seems similar even though one of these had damaged threads and was unusable. The replacement was fine. I seem to get only about a year out of one, but the same can be said for the pet store versions as well.

the bulb stopped heating after only a week. very disappointing!

It works....

Product has exceeded our expectations. Works fast and held up in minor outdoor element exposure. Continues to work for months now where heat bulbs kept breaking.

Used it for a couple days (bought it for my roommate) used the proper lamp and it blew up. The Che shattered when it was on. Luckily she was in the room when it happened so the animal wasnt hurt.

I use this bulb along with the Zoo Med clamp lamp dome to keep my hedgehogs cage in the optimal temperature range. One bulb/lamp is enough for his cage size, and has been working great for the full year I have had the setup. The bulb does get a bit hot to the touch when on (as expected, since it is a heat emitting bulb), so as long as you are carful, there really are no issues!

Arrived in time. Well pckaged. Heats up eavenly. A quality product.
