> 3 dayAmazon sent me a Chinese knock off. I dont even know how many watts it is because it is all printed in another language. Obviously, no warranty comes with this one as does with the Zoo Med. If this happens to you, let them know. As Im sure you all know, its important to use proper wattage with your dome lamps. I immediately notified them to get an exchange, which they are doing for me. Thats what the one star is for.

> 3 dayGood but, good value. Keeps heat all day and night without disturbing our tortoises light cycle. Red bulbs are no good.

> 3 dayI found that the heat it emitted was enough that if it accidently came in contact with an animal it would be severly burned. Decided not to use the product for that reason. Anyone want it cheap?

> 3 dayThis is my second ceramic heat emitter. The first one lasted 1 1/2 winters. I use it in the winter to keep my two guinea pigs warm at night when I turn the house heat down. Their cage is 5 x 4....a C&C cage. I have the light dome hanging at one end of their cage, and at night I cover that third of the cage with a couple of bath towels...with the heat emitter hanging down under the towels. And, the piggies love their wam, cozy bedroom. In the morning the towels come off and the heat emitter gets turned off....and the guinea pigs have their spacious cage to run around and play in.

> 3 dayFor the 100 watts it uses, this bulb produces minimal heat. Better to use a heating appliance or an infrared heat bulb. Works well beside the lack of heat.
