> 3 dayI liked the sound of these. Very fun, and enjoyable. Unfortunately the ear cups are just too small for my ears. The cups sit on my ear lobes and the top of my ear touches the driver. I feel like they are a bit overpriced as well. The build quality is solid but they aren’t worth $300 even if they fit me I would be sending them back.

> 3 dayFirst of all, let me say right out of the box that these headphones impressed me. The Build is great the comfort is the best I have ever had. Now as for the sound if you just want to listen to music and not worried about every little detail then these are for you. I should mention that yes there is a lot of bass but its not overpowering at least not to me. the highs are crisp without fatiguing the mids are smooth. The overall sound is just fun. These headphones are for just relaxing and listening to your favorite tunes.

> 3 dayFirst and foremost, these are gorgeous headphones. Meze has really gone above and beyond with premium materials and premium presentation. I was impressed from the moment I opened them. Accessories are all there and packaged in a thoughtful and beautiful manner. My only gripe is the sound - its just not for me. The sound is rich, thick, intimate but to a fault. Im used to planars which are quick but these are too slow and muddy for me to seriously consider it at this price point.

> 3 dayThese sound like they are worth 2x their price. These are great all arounders, but best for hip hop, reggae and other bass heavy/forward genres/songs. Oh and get a little amp, really opens them up, but they’re pretty good right out of the box. If you’re spending less than 500 these are awesome, great starter audiophile headphone

> 3 dayI have a large head and the fact I can grab these and throw them on with 0 adjustment alone is a huge plus. GREAT sound for the money. VERY on the warm side, if you like that. Great for listening, probably dont want to mix with these though. If you like a bit more of a scooped sound consider the 99 neos. which I also own. Love them both but for VERY different reasons

> 3 dayThese are my first purchase of audiophile grade headphones and these have surpassed any expectations I had. Blah blah blah, I could tell you all about myself but Id rather focus on the product here. I will say that although I have worked my way up the chain for home stereo listening, for years Ive listened to MP3s on my phone with cheap-ass ear buds. I mainly use the Meze 99s at work and have three listening options - turntable, PC and newly purchased iBasso DX80. My previous pair of headphones was a pair of Jabra Bluetooth so I was able to do some comparison. The Meze 99s blew me away! I listen to anything from classical (DSDs & vinyl) to recordings of music from the early 1900s sourced directly from 78. There is a lot in between there, too, like early Jazz, Electronica (mainly early Industrial), 60s/70s rock and a lot of 70s/80s punk and hardcore music. These Meze 99s surprised the heck out of me as the mastering/source quality is all over the place from track to track but I was able to hear an improvement almost everything - there was more to the music that Ive ever heard before. Enjoying everything so far Im now dusting off numerous things I havent listened to in years to see what it sounds like in this new light. I really like the construction as well. They easily adjust without any intervention to any head size. I also find them to be very comfortable over my ears, seems like the pads that come with are the perfect size for my ears. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone stepping into the world of high-end headphones. I do have one regret - I wish I bought the maple/silver...whaaa me, that is only aesthetics and really, when listening to them I dont have to look at them.

> 3 dayI bought these and the Meze 99 Noir at the same time. I ran both from the same source, using the same cable. The two do not sound alike. The Classics are much, much better sounding. By comparison, the Noirs are muffled through the midrange and lower treble. Both have about the same high-quality, abundant bass. Both are very nice-looking and the most comfortable headphones Ive ever put on my head. The Classics have better imaging and a wider soundstage. The Classics cost $100 more than the Noirs. In my opinion, its worth the extra money, if you have it. The Noirs are still pretty good, but they are as right for their price as the Classics are for their price. Youre not just paying for the shiny buttons with the Classics.

> 3 daySHIPPING: The box came yesterday. No issues. UNBOXING: Used my trusty razor blade knife to open the box. The headphone was in a plastic wrapped box. The box was thick and textured with magnetic clasps to hold it shut. Similar to the packaging I have encountered on 1MORE In-Ear earphones. A hard shell carry case unzipped to reveal the headphone with its beautiful wooden ear cup. I took a moment to admire it. Also in the case was a 1/4 adapter and two braided cords -- one shorter and one longer -- in a zip pouch. FIT: The ear cups slipped over my large ears. The right ear rubbed the inside of the cup. No big deal just something I noticed. My ears did get mildly warm and clammy. My Bose and Kenwood headphones do the same thing. They are light and do not distract me when listening to my music and movie collections. SOUND: Very very good. But not excellent. Just short of audio nirvana. MOBILE DEVICES: Good sound from an Android tablet and an iPod Touch. Pleasantly surprised. No need for an amp. PC: Near excellent sound. I use an amp and DAC fed through an optical cable. The amp and DAC kick the performance up a notch or three. OVERALL: Worthy! I like the sound (especially with an amp!) and looks. I reserve a 5 rating for the best and costlier headphones. Cheers! I hope this helped.
