> 3 dayThese headphones are honestly worth every penny. The sound quality is perfect to my preferences, with the top end times a bit down so that long listening sessions don’t get annoying. The quality of build is amazing as well; you can feel where your money went when holding them. Not to mention, there’s a budget version that only makes aesthetic compromises if 300 is out of your budget. I took these traveling overseas and they were incredibly convenient with the carrying case and airplane adapter. 100% recommend these!

Greater than one weekMeze Classics 99 have excellent sound quality and are incredibly comfortable. After 2 years of use they still work like brand new. I was hesitant about buying a pair of headphones from a relatively unknown brand unless you are an audiophile of course. These headphones are great on my laptop, Galaxy Note 10 and my Apple iPad and iPods. If I compare them to my Bose and Logitech/Corsairs/Razers - there is no extra Noise cancelling feature to block out ambient sound, and obviously no rainbow disco LEDs flashing! However if you whack the volume up enough then you can drown all other noises out like kids nagging you! The cable has one button for Play/Pause, it is good but if it just had Volume up/down then it would be amazeballs! These do not fold away so I like to keep them in a cloth carrying bag in my rucksack to keep them from scratches. The wood is a premium feel and I do love the cables, because the bottom half is braided and the top half have two jacks which plug in to each ear phone.

> 3 dayThese are some of the best headphones Ive ever owned. They sound great, fit well and are comfortable. They even cancel out outside noise. Downside is they create their own noise that does not get canceled out. Especially notable if you take them on a walk. The metal band on arching over the top is loud if anything touches it. even just rubbing your finger over it is too much interference. The cord makes noise if it bumps or rubs against anything, but its not as bad as the overhead metal band. Youll notice the downside if youre sitting back and move your head around or if your scratch your head and bump the metal band on top. or if the wires are rubbing anything. Laying still its fine, walking around its mostly the wire rubbing on your clothing thats noticeable. I love the look and the sound of these headphones. Hopefully a successor will come out that fixes the small problems. Theyll be perfect then.

Greater than one weekI bought these and a Fiio Q1 Mark II DAC/Amp as my first set of high res headphone/dac/amp. To be honest I was not sure I was going to notice the difference between these and the iPhone + a pair of Bose SoundTrue Ultra, but the minute I put these on the difference was quite big. I also love how they look and how comfortable they are. The only negative thing I could say is that they are not ideal for travelling. Ive recently used them in 6+ hours flight and if you want to take them off, you will have to put them back in your back pack because you cannot just put them in the sleeve of the seat on front of you. Another negative comment would be that the mic on the shorter cable is not place properly. People was having a hard time hearing me when I was using them to take a phone call. Overall Im very happy with them and because they are built to last I will be using them for a long time.

> 3 dayAt first I was a little undecided about purchasing headphones I never heard of or even listen to before buying. Well after listening to all the known brands and seeing how much plastic I getting for my money I decided try out MEZE Classic 99 the company advertised they were completely serviceable and if I didn’t like the sound I send them. Well after listening to them these MEZE Classics 99 headphones aren’t going anywhere but on head did I mention the ear cup are made out of walnut

> 3 dayThese are wonderful headphones. I’m far from an expert, but I have had many headphones… pods, buds, over-ear, etc. I’ve had a couple of sets that cost right about the same as these. There’s no comparison. The Meze 99’s produce great sound. Clarity, yes. Range, sure. Detail, that’s probably the most noticeable for me. I love when I can hear a note through it’s decay. I listen to a lot of types of music: rock and pop to ambient and techno, hard bop jazz to ballads, classical, even a little opera. I’ve had these almost a month, and so far they provide the same high quality for everything I put into them. I did realize in the first few days listening with them that my glasses under the pads greatly reduced the quality. Not a surprise, but I’m pretty new to glasses. So, I can adjust them just above the pads and read while listening to amazing music. I hear from many experts that these compete with much more expensive headphones. Couldn’t confirm that, as I’ve never heard any of those. I’d just say music sounds very enjoyable to me with these. It’s as close as I’ve ever experienced to being in the same room with the music from headphones.

> 3 dayI was super stoked to get these headphones and man, they did not disappoint UNTIL one of the earcups started shorting out just about a minute into the song. The input on the ear cup appeared to be loose and would short out unless you wiggled it. Very disappointed since I’ve been saving up for these. I will be returning them.

> 3 dayThe Meze 99 Classic is a beautiful looking, extremely comfortable headphone that does a great job of reproducing the fill sound spectrum. I compared it to a Denon AH-D5200 that I bought at the same time, playing it through the headphone output of a Marantz SR5011 with no other amplification. It nicely reproduced both Steve Hacketts piercing guitar solo and the very deep bass in Genesiss Firth of Fifth. It also did a great job reproducing the sound effects in Star Wars episodes IV and V. As mentioned in other reviews, the bass is strong from this headphone, although not overpowering. I would call it a luscious sound. If this was the only headphone I tried, then I would have been very happy with it. However, I compared it to the Denon D5200, which is not fair because the Denon cost twice as much, but I was curious if my 62-year old ears with tinnitus could tell the difference. They could, and I preferred the slightly clearer sound of the Denon, so I returned the Meze. Still, I highly recommend the Meze 99s to anyone who is looking to buy a headphone in the $300 range.

> 3 dayCaught these on prime day for $247 for that price these are beyond amazing! To start I don’t have oodles experience with high end hp’s, these are warm sounding with exciting, fun sound. They aren’t going to be the most analytical hp out there but for 80%-90% of people these will be all you’ll ever need. I run these with a ifi nano black label amp/dac and it does improve the sound quit a bit. Ppl say these are bass cannons I disagree and find them to have great bass, they are tuned very well and just sound great. You won’t be disappointed.

> 3 dayI didnt expect these headphones to sound as good as they do. The 99 classics plus amazon hd music have been a real joy to listen to. Only gripe, earcups are a little small for my ears, cups rub against my ears. Very comfortable to wear for extended listening sessions. I can only describe the sound as natural and warm, not to bright.
