> 3 dayI live in an apartment with thin walls. Sure I would love to play my music loud. Im a record collector and I really enjoy it, but there are limitations due to where I live. These speakers are really nice. First, they are very comfortable and that is important for long listening times. And the sound is just lovely. They are perfect for apartment living or just a nice set up if you want to play the music loud. The Meze 99 Classics are very beautiful looking as well. I purchased the silver/walnut as it matches the faces of my vintage sound system and I love that. Super worth the prices.

> 3 dayI bought these to replace my B&W P7s. The only reason being as I wanted a headphone with an easy option for a 2.5mm balanced cable connector for my Pioneer XDP-300R. The P7s should in no way be considered bad, Wicked Awesome. These... are different headphones. I am not gonna pretend I know Frank all about soundstage or anything like a real reviewer would write. I will only say that these too, are Wicked Awesome.

> 3 dayThe headphones are amazing, the only reason I havent given them 5 stars is because my chord came with some very annoying split ends in the threading. It doesnt impact the sound, it just hurts aesthetically.

11-11-2024I had only read/watched 2 reviews for the Meze and once I got past the audiophile descriptions of the sound which all sounded very acceptable, I was attracted to the simplicity and construction of these headphones. No Glue. Very little plastics. Every piece is replaceable and every part can be disassembled by hand. In my opinion, when looking at the details and holding it in your hands it feels great and looks stunning. How the headband easily slides to accommodate an easy and firm hold of your head. Its also large enough to provide room for large ears without looking cumbersome or awkward. The cable that comes with the headphones are great and it comes with two versions. One that is purely for headphone amps and one with an in-line microphone that could be used with a mobile device. I have been listening to these headphones on either at Schiit Stack (Schiit Modi 3 + Schiit Magni 3) or a Chord Mojo and theres enough detail in these headphones that I can clearly tell the difference between the DAC and Headphone amp. These headphones are competitive in sound quality with headphones that are 1.5-2x the price. As far as I am concerned if you are spending less than $500, these are a must-buy.

> 3 dayBeautiful. Great sound. Comfortable. Isolate sound well. Have had these for over a year and use them for watching movies at night. Bought Dakoni pads which are more comfortable than the stock ones. Perfect for movies since these are detailed with lots of substance in the base. Also great all-rounders if you can equalize them. Have a set of Qudelix 5xs which come with EQ profiles for this, which balances out the sound more favorably. Cons: Wish they hit faster

> 3 dayAbsolutely wonderful headphones. Paired it with my FIIO Amp and it gives me a full bodied sound. The balance between the bass, the mids, and the higher end is amazing for this price point. Love the amount of accessories it came with including different cables and an airplane adapter. The last headphones that I got with an airplane adapter were Bose Quietcomforts. These are miles above those with regards to sound quality. I found my new set of headphones for listening. These ones!

> 3 dayAfter a year of ownership, I can truly say you get your moneys worth from these headphones. The only reason I rated 4 stars is that the ear pads flattened enough to feel the headphone press against my ear after about 10 months. I have 2 other pairs of headphones that are around this price point from other manufacturers, and although these have the best sound quality, the ear pads on the others has faired well. Even with this, theyre still comfortable for 8+hour days, even with glasses with thick frames. Nonetheless, dont let that one little point deter you from these awesome headphones. The workmanship is admirable and the aesthetics are unquestionably gorgeous.

> 3 dayI bought these and a Fiio Q1 Mark II DAC/Amp as my first set of high res headphone/dac/amp. To be honest I was not sure I was going to notice the difference between these and the iPhone + a pair of Bose SoundTrue Ultra, but the minute I put these on the difference was quite big. I also love how they look and how comfortable they are. The only negative thing I could say is that they are not ideal for travelling. Ive recently used them in 6+ hours flight and if you want to take them off, you will have to put them back in your back pack because you cannot just put them in the sleeve of the seat on front of you. Another negative comment would be that the mic on the shorter cable is not place properly. People was having a hard time hearing me when I was using them to take a phone call. Overall Im very happy with them and because they are built to last I will be using them for a long time.

> 3 dayawesome headphones I own quite a few pairs of headphones more expensive, and if I had to give them all up and keep one pair these would be the ones I keep.im currently running these off of my sabaj d5 dac I recently purchased.running through my Mac via usb and using the boom 3 eq. I am able to get the most out of these headphones.im thinking on buying the Neo headphones also after hearing these. I cant believe how efficient these are once I tuned the sound where I wanted it I couldnt believe sound separation voice clarity and soundstage.everyone should experience these headphones.the one thing I did immediately was upgrade to a balanced xlr cable, build & sound quality perfect well done.

> 3 dayThe 99 Classics are beautiful and comfortable. The sound is good. But I also got a pair of Airpod Maxs at the same time. It would be very difficult for any headphone to compete with them. I tried the 99s with the balanced cable, going into a Quedelix 5k DAC/AMP, which was plugged directly into my new MacBook, so fully digital, playing Apple lossless music at the highest quality setting. So I was giving the 99s their best chance to sound great. And they did sound good. But their soundstage is fairly narrow compared to the AirPod Maxs, which manage to sound better, even over Bluetooth. Even my AirPod Pros have a bigger soundstage and sound better to me. I also tried a pair of Moondrop Aria IEMs ($80) plugged into the Quedelix with a standard cable, and they sounded better than the 99s, at less than 1/3 the price. If they expanded the soundstage on the 99s I think they would be much more competitive.
