This foot rest has definitely helped my long-legged 7 year old travel more comfortably in his booster seat. It is being used in a mid-sized sedan, and the kiddo can easily climb in and out without having to put significant weight on the foot rest. The item installs easily under the car seat. The only negative I have encountered so far are the latches, both to adjust the height of the foot-rest, as well as the fold-down function, are incredibly hard for an adult to manipulate, and impossible for the kiddo. This is not a major issue for us, as we do not need to fold the platform down, but maybe for others. The only other criticism I have involves the two fold down latches. They are located in a depressed notch on the foot rest platform. They are inevitably going to collect dirt and debris in this location, and that is certainly not going to improve the already challenging operation of the latch. Overall, this platform solves more problems than it creates for us, so definitely recommend despite the design flaws.

Doesnt work too great for parents like me that like their kids sitting on the middle seat. The lump on the middle of the floor makes it difficult to keep the step grounded. Otherwise its perfect for car seats that are next to the window or that dont have a lump in the middle of the car.

This has helped a lot for my 5 year old. His legs are long, but not long enough to reach the floor of the car. He would kick my seat constantly before we got this. Now that he has a place to rest his feet we don’t have this issue.

This was great for our road trip. Saved my little ones legs and did not complain of legs hurting like he has in the past. The only hassle was he was in the middle row and we had kids in the very back also. So anytime someone had to get out, we had to move it out to push the seat up. Only inconvenience. If you can, place in a space you don’t need to move a lot.
