We traveled the summer with our kids across the country and this was worth the money. We have used it for several trips now; 12 hours or more. It adjust to size the child, and well their feet rest! They did not complain of numb feet once and we would drive for hours. It is flimsy so we have our children step on top of the pole to sit instead of the actual foot rest part. We traveled for over a day, several restroom stops, and every time they stepped on the pole. It has not broken yet. I do not use it for daily car rides. I think it would be a hassle to use it every day since is not a product you can just have your child step on because it does look like it would break. I give it 5 starts because it has been a trip changer for us. Whenever we make a trip out of town we use it and has worked for us.

A bit hard to install, kind of awkward. Not the easiest to adjust and it still wiggles which makes me question safety. However, does work for my three year old toddler.

My son has DMD and this is perfect for him. He needs to keep his feet flat or slightly flex and this helped him do that for our long road trip!

Definitely helps for child not putting feet on back of seat

There is nothing wrong else on the market so hard to compare. It seems okay but it is not very sturdy. A little pressure either way and it can move side to side quite easily. The bottom support would be better if it was designed with two legs.

My son was constantly kicking and resting his feet on the back of my seat. I read research about how when adults sit in the seats, having feet on the floor versus suspended provides better blood flow and circulation. For kids, when their legs hang, it causes blood pooling and numbness/tingling sensations that bothers them resulting in them kicking or resting their feet on the backs of the seats in front. Since installing this, my son has completely stopped doing it. It’s a bit tricky to figure out in terms of installment and the levers to adjust height are a bit finicky but overall great product. I hope it’s sturdy and lasts a while because the concept is perfect! I do wish it was in more neutral colors to go with car aesthetics but if I can protect my beige seats from shoe prints, I’ll take that as a win Must have esp once child is newly front facing!

I have this placed in the 3rd row seat in an Infiniti QX80. It fits fine I just could not get it to fit snug. It fits pretty good when my daughter is sitting on her chair, other than that it doesn’t fit tight enough. I will say though, makes her ride much better

We love this footrest. We have the prior model which has been used by our now 5 year old for the past 2 years and it’s holding up well (except the little clips that are used to hold the poles in place). But we like this one even better because it now has a support beam from the footrest to the floor and the clips are no longer needed in the new design. Both of our kids (ages almost 3 and 5) are more comfortable using the footrest and no longer complain of foot pain when riding in the car forward facing. We finally realized the pain our son was complaining of was being caused by poor circulation to his dangling feet. Problem solved with the footrest! It also helps (not solves) keep him from putting his feet on the back our seat. We love that it is fully adjustable and has grown with him over the years. Well worth the cost.

I waited to review this until we had used it a while. I bought it for my 4 year old for Christmas, and it is now almost June. We travel long distances, and this has really helped make her ride more comfortable. It takes a little bit of trial and error to install it and adjust it for your childs optimal comfort, but its fairly straightforward. I love it because now my child doesnt put her feet on the back of the seats in front, which not only cuts down on the wear and tear on our vehicle, but it also would help prevent an impact injury to her ankles/knees in case of a car accident because she doesnt have her legs braced straight in front of her. What I dont like is that because we have a dirt parking area/driveway, the grit/sand from her shoes gets in all the crevices of the moving parts of this (the adjustment buttons/etc.), and makes it very difficult to adjust later. I have to take it out, clean out the grit, and then adjust it. I actually had to unscrew the covers on the footrest buttons to get the grit out of the springs inside. Its a little troublesome, but I figure such is rural life. The grit/sand also scrubs the shiny finish on the plastic, but that doesnt bother me at all. I would still buy it again even knowing now that the grit/sand is a little obnoxious.
