After eating a vegan diet for 3 years, I started having serious problems with fatigue. A blood test revealed low B-12 levels. The doctor recommended monthly B-12 shots, but the bright red dye in the injections freaked me out (what IS that stuff?) and I didnt want the inconvenience of needing to go get shots, so I started taking the Jarrow Methyl B-12. My fatigue disappeared rapidly and my B-12 levels normalized. There is scientific research that shows B-12 absorption is not effected by whether you chew the tablets or dissolve them sublingually, so I chew them. Methyl B-12 is the best form to take as it is more bioavailable, and the more commonly found cyanocobalamin form of B-12 leaves trace amounts of cyanide in the body. Who needs that?! A highly regarded nutrition researcher and lecturer recommended the Jarrow brand to me and Im very happy with the product.

The flavor is good and it is easy to chew, but I am concerned that there is no Lot number or expiration date on the bottle. I didnt realize it until I just ordered a new supply and the label was different which made me look at it.

If youre going to take B-12 you should think about the form you take. The methyl B12 is the natural form of B12 and it doesnt need to be converted by the liver, whereas if you take the other form and it has to be converted it might not be as effective or might not work at all. Also, methyl-B12 should be in a sublingual form, as this is in order to work best. Jarrow Methyl-B12 1000 mcg sublingual lozenges has everything one would want in a B-12. I buy this one for my kids and hubby, while I take 5000 mcg. Highly recommend!

A great product! Have used for several years. Made the mistake of getting a B12 shot from the doctor because it was free which didnt make me feel better as this product does, but in fact made me have a yeast imbalance for which I used Vitanica Candidastat to resolve. This product is so delicious I have to restrain from eating it like candy. It calms my nerves and makes me feel so much better immediately. Highly recommended!!!

B12 supplements really work. More than doubled my B12 level, and energy level is great all day. Only negative to this brand is that its described as a lozenge. Lozenges dissolve. This doesnt dissolve--it would take 30 minutes for this to dissolve. Chewable is a better description. But it still works.

It may be placebo, but I really do feel a difference with these. I have noticed that my pee doesnt turn a neon yellow which makes me feel like the vitamin B is actually being absorbed, but that could be faulty logic (maybe its the niacin in other brands that does that.) I put the lozenge under my tongue and it takes about 50 minutes to dissolve. It leaves behind an odd mush, which isnt the most pleasant thing in the world, but its not horrendous. Id like to see the lozenge be a bit more dissolve friendly, but for price paid and results, or lack there of (ie no violent diarrhea, stomach aches) I will call it a good bargain.

I was looking for a B12 that I could actually use and notice a difference. Well, I noticed the difference in a matter of a couple days. Sooner really! I dont even need my pot of coffee in the morning. I am not down to a cup of coffee. I was recommended to get B12 after a blood panel showed I was deficient and this is better than the last one and I thought it was good. This is superior!

Im not a fan of supplements because they arent regulated, but as a vegetarian (who is mostly vegan), my doc tested my B12 and I was very low. As much as I like nutritional yeast, I didnt want to put it on everything I eat, so I had to supplement. I liked the idea of a methyl variation (rather than cyanocobalamin), so I gave it a shot. Ive been taking these almost daily (Im not religious about it) for the past 5 years. After one year of semi-regular use my B12 was in the very low side of normal range, up from a severe deficiency, and for the past handful of years my B12 is in the middle-ish of the normal range. So, it does seem to be doing what it says it does.

I have both ADHD and anxiety. Yikes! Ive known for a long time that B vitamins have a positive impact on anxiety, but it just never really worked that well for me personally. I generally manage my anxiety with meditation, yoga, breathing techniques, and the occasional Xanax. But then I read an article about natural treatments for anxiety - I wish I could find it now - and it included mention of Methylcobalamin and Folinic Acid as options to improve brain function and help with anxiety and ADHD. Hm. Worth a try. So I ordered both on Amazon (this is the folinic acid I bought:

This B12 placed under the tongue will not completely dissolve; it needs to be chewed. Flavor is not as good as other brands I have previously used.
