> 3 dayI have used the Jarrow Methyl B-12 5000mcg for about 2 months. I have decided to try the 1000mcg level. Though it is almost impossible to determine any solid benefits of taking any food supplement or vitamin, I have seemed to experience some clarity in the last month. Since I take several supplements, it is very hard to tell what comes from where, mentally. I was advised by my doctor to take B-12 shots, which are too expensive, to counter the effects of some of the prescriptions that I have to take. The chemo drugs I take have been necessary for me. I take other supplements as well as the Methyl B-12 from his advice. As with any supplement you must be your own judge and check with a physician if other drugs or supplements are involved.

Greater than one weekI have been using these B-12 supplements for quite some time and I can tell you they are really awesome! They taste like pink lemonade and they dont have all the sugar and junk that other flavored B-12 supplements have. Top notch quality & taste! They really work. I have to be on high levels of vitamin B-12 so I use these in conjuction with their B-12 500 supplements and an organic B enzyme complex. I try to always choose all natural products without all the chemical additives. I truly hope this helps. If this review is helpful to you, please click yes so it can be helpful to others as well. Thank you so much for reading!

> 3 dayThese are great for anyone with suspected difficulty in absorbing B12 (due to many factors including digestive issues, MTHFR gene variations, etc.). I decided to start on a low dose to avoid any possible negative side effects, so for the first 2 or so weeks I cut the tablets into fourths and took one of the fourths per day. The tablets are not scored, but are large enough that they are relatively easy to cut with a sharp knife. I have successfully cut them into halves and fourths. After a couple of weeks I bumped up to a half tablet, and after a couple more weeks I bumped up to one full tablet. I have been taking these for a little over a month now and havent noticed any significant positive or negative effects. However, since I have MTHFR variations, I feel that it is worth supplementing with methyl B12. If you use these properly (place the tablet under your tongue without chewing), a full tablet will take a long time to dissolve. I usually keep it under my tongue to dissolve for as long as I can stand (5-10 minutes) and then chew the rest and rub the chewed powder part on my gums (the mucus membranes throughout the mouth can absorb the B12, not just under the tongue). Next time, I will probably order the 5000 mcg tablets and cut them into fourths since that is cheaper than buying the 1000 mcg tablets (although these are already a reasonable price).

> 3 dayWhether you have an MTHFR mutation or not, you are better off taking the methylcobalamin version of B12 than the more common cyanocobalamin variety offered in most Bcomplexes and multivitamins. This formulation dissolves in the mouth and can also be chewed if you get impatient! It has a mild flavor (different varieties) that is at worst, unoffensive and at best, tasty. Great for children and adults. A necessary co-factor for folate, particularly l-methylfolate (required for MTHFR folks). Jarrow is a reputable company and Amazon offers it at a great price.

> 3 dayFor two years I suffered horrible esophageal spasms and indigestion, daily, that would go on for hours. I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. (antacids, etc.) Then one of my friends sent me an article that said one of the symptoms of a B-12 deficiency is digestive problems. A B-12 deficiency seemed a likely possibility since I have had my gallbladder removed and am taking omeprazole. After I had my gallbladder out the indigestion began and eventually got so bad the esophageal spasms started up. Horrible. It would radiate from my stomach up my chest and into my lower jaw, over and over for hours on end. I spent many nights fighting nausea and standing over a sink drooling heavily. I had no idea such misery was possible until it happened to me. I didnt hold much hope that this would work, because nothing else did, but I figured Id try it and if it didnt work Id only be out a few dollars. Within days I was about 80% better. It gets a little better every day. My doctor poo-poohs this but my take on it is: after two years of sheer torture/agony it worked. I dont understand how it worked or why it worked only that it did--and that is good enough for me.

> 3 dayWhen I initially read the word Lozenge what immediately came to my mind was a cough drop/hard candy form. It really is just like a chewable pill, pressed powdered and *slighty* chalky. Not really bursting with lemon flavor but not bad. Would recommend if you are lacking in energy or for just overall wellness. If your looking for something that doesnt take a long time to dissolve I would suggest looking at the liquid sprays, but if you dont mind savoring the flavor these lozenges will do the trick!

> 3 dayI started taking B-12 shortly after going vegan 6 months ago. I don’t think I’ve ever been B-12 deficient and likely havent been vegan long enough to tell. I don’t feel any different after taking these so I can’t vouch for their absorbency. But I know that as a vegan, it is a supplement I need to take. I first bought these in the tropical flavor which I liked a lot. When I ran out, I purchased the lemon ones because they are more economical but much much much prefer the tropical flavor. When this one runs out, I’ll repurchase tropical.

> 3 dayI was not able to taste foods for months. And hot (spicy) foods were painful to eat, as well as very cold foods. No doctor knew (or cared) what to do for me. I was researching vitamin deficiencies one evening, and ran into the Jarrow B-12s. Read that a deficiency in B-12 could mess with tasting food. So, I gave the B-12s a try. In only a few weeks, taking 3 a day, my sense of taste returned, and pain when eating hot, spicy and cold foods subsided. I now take Jarrow regularly.

> 3 dayIm not a fan of supplements because they arent regulated, but as a vegetarian (who is mostly vegan), my doc tested my B12 and I was very low. As much as I like nutritional yeast, I didnt want to put it on everything I eat, so I had to supplement. I liked the idea of a methyl variation (rather than cyanocobalamin), so I gave it a shot. Ive been taking these almost daily (Im not religious about it) for the past 5 years. After one year of semi-regular use my B12 was in the very low side of normal range, up from a severe deficiency, and for the past handful of years my B12 is in the middle-ish of the normal range. So, it does seem to be doing what it says it does.
