> 3 dayIm not a fan of supplements because they arent regulated, but as a vegetarian (who is mostly vegan), my doc tested my B12 and I was very low. As much as I like nutritional yeast, I didnt want to put it on everything I eat, so I had to supplement. I liked the idea of a methyl variation (rather than cyanocobalamin), so I gave it a shot. Ive been taking these almost daily (Im not religious about it) for the past 5 years. After one year of semi-regular use my B12 was in the very low side of normal range, up from a severe deficiency, and for the past handful of years my B12 is in the middle-ish of the normal range. So, it does seem to be doing what it says it does.

> 3 dayThere is a lot to say here but I will try to keep this brief. * Order process: Product ordered, received on time, condition good, etc. etc. Everything fine there. * Why I tried it: Information concerning the; advantages of Methyl form of B12 over other forms; the advantages of the sub-lingual form over others; symptoms that can result from lack of B12; the bodys reduced ability to absorb B12 with age; are all available on the internet already. I wont bother repeating that stuff here. Im getting old enough (60s) that age related reduced absorption could start to become an issue. Wanted to try a sub-lingual form of supplement to see if it would improve my insomnia (B12 required for generation of melatonin), reduced ability of muscles to recover after strenuous exercise (B12 required for cell repair), and maybe other little issues that I had attributed to normal aging. * Dose: I started taking one of these a day. I place it under my tongue and let it slowly dissolve there. I think that others that complain that it doesnt dissolve fast enough and are chewing it are defeating the effectiveness of the supplement. For absorption through mucus membranes percent of absorption will be directly related to length of exposure. You want to try to keep it there as long as possible. (For me its usually almost an hour.) * Results: After a week or so I noticed that I seemed to be sleeping better. I actually started to have dreams; havent done that in almost a decade. Also noticed improvement in muscle recovery after exercise; they dont stay sore for a week or more like they used to. * Other unexpected results: My distance vision seems to have improved. I can read the fine print on the HD TV without my glasses. Couldnt do that before. The spider veins on my legs, that have been developing for the last several years, are going away. First noticed this after a couple of weeks of taking the supplement but didnt believe it. After 4 weeks, defiantly something happening. They change from dark blue/purple to magenta to red to pink and then fade away to the point where they are no longer visible. Its been a couple of months now and I would estimate, at this point, that they are about 70% gone. (My wife started taking this stuff shortly after I did; she is seeing the same improvement.) It seems that my facial hair, which was all gray, seems to be getting darker; some of the normal color is coming back. If I dont shave for a few days it shows more than it used to. * Other changes that could contribute to results: Have only made one other change in diet/lifestyle prior to starting this supplement. Two months before starting the B12 I looked at our sodium intake in response to a different condition that my wife has; found that it was quite high. As a result we reduced our dietary sodium intake by a lot. I did not notice the changes mentioned above until after we started taking the B12 but the reduced sodium intake could be a contributing factor to the improvements.

> 3 dayGreat bang for your buck with these. One tablet is 16,670% of your daily value of B12 and it is a water soluble vitamin, so I prefer to bite them in halves or quarters before letting them dissolve sublingually. Unless you have a severe deficiency, the great majority of the excess vitamin will just end up in your toilet. These taste fine, but do leave behind a bizarre fibrous residue in your mouth that I find unappealing. Probably the cellulose binder.

> 3 dayThis supplement is high quality. This particular formulation is highly absorbable. However, unless you have a metabolic Vitamin B 12 deficiency you will only need one tablet per week. For vegetarians/ vegans cut the tablet in 4 and take a quarter on alternate days. Nice taste.

> 3 dayJarrow is a trusted brand for me. This Vitamin B12 has given me lots more energy. I take it along with L-methylfolate and a low dose of Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal 5-phosphate) for my MTHFR gene mutation. The price is great too! I found that I need to take this B12 in the morning because it energizes me and I cannot fall asleep in the evening if I take it too late in the day. Good stuff!

> 3 dayWhether you have an MTHFR mutation or not, you are better off taking the methylcobalamin version of B12 than the more common cyanocobalamin variety offered in most Bcomplexes and multivitamins. This formulation dissolves in the mouth and can also be chewed if you get impatient! It has a mild flavor (different varieties) that is at worst, unoffensive and at best, tasty. Great for children and adults. A necessary co-factor for folate, particularly l-methylfolate (required for MTHFR folks). Jarrow is a reputable company and Amazon offers it at a great price.

Greater than one weekFrom the research I did before purchase, Im satisfied Jarrow makes quality vitamins. The taste is nice, not overwhelming and not like a kid product. I got these for my wife because she has tinnitus and they seem to be helping after two weeks of use.

> 3 dayI had been taking Methyl B-12 in different forms as I am B-12 deficient. I had tried a number of brands, but when my blood work was done, it would show that I am still deficient. My doctor told me to double the amount I was taking which was in a B complex I was using. So I had to purchase just the B-12 to take along with the B Complex pill. Anyway, I decided to try this brand and go back to one that dissolves in the mouth. I look forward every morning to taking this B-12 as I can make it through the day much better than before. The lemon flavor is mild. I do wish the tablets were smaller, but as long as it helps my energy level, I am content. None of the other brands I have tried made any difference in my energy level but this one.

> 3 dayI started taking B-12 shortly after going vegan 6 months ago. I don’t think I’ve ever been B-12 deficient and likely havent been vegan long enough to tell. I don’t feel any different after taking these so I can’t vouch for their absorbency. But I know that as a vegan, it is a supplement I need to take. I first bought these in the tropical flavor which I liked a lot. When I ran out, I purchased the lemon ones because they are more economical but much much much prefer the tropical flavor. When this one runs out, I’ll repurchase tropical.
