Use a thermostat controller and youll love this heat mat for your reptile too. Even when it gets hot the adhesive stays strong. It warms up pretty quick when its turned on by the thermostat controller to keep the temperature just where my gecko needs it.

We have used this product in the past for our other tanks. This one finally keeps our little guys warm.

Working well on the side of a 10 gallon tank for a Pacman frog. Room is a bit warm to begin with also though.

This is now my second UTH I bought from this company , first one I thought was maybe just a faulty heat mat so I returned it and come to find out the second heat mat does the same thing . Starts at 112 degrees in the middle of the pad and then goes down to 102 just alittle bit off center . I understand all heat mats do fluctuate heat slightly but the area of heat that is within 108 and 112 is maybe a 3x3 square

This seems like a great heater. Great price too. I went to PetSmart to look at heaters because I bought the wrong size and Amazon screwed up something with tracking and now I cant return it for the larger size, and they were double and triple the price. Hopefully Amazon fixes their issues soon so I can exchange for the bigger one.

Heats really well! Unfortunately came unstuck to my tank within a day of placing it. Used tape to restick it

I’ve got a few of these and the two have been great so far. But I got another one and of course I have them attached to a thermostat. But my thermostat probe fell out from the heat mat when I moved the tank for a second and when I stuck it back in, mind you, it was only a few seconds it was out, the temperature spiked up to 109F, I had it set at 89F, all within a couple of seconds. It took forever for the temperature to drop after that. I’m not happy at all with it. Imagine if I wasn’t home and that had happened. I just don’t think that’s okay for it to spike up that fast.

I have bought four of these things now. I started with a larger size because I have a 30 gallon terrarium. They all fall off over time and I do not let the heat get above 86 (the minimum my snake needs is honestly in the 80s and this is the only way to achieve that.) This happens because I am using them as directed. You are meant to stick this to the underside of the glass to create a hot hide for your reptile. I do this with nothing but empty space underneath, meaning it is hanging. There is no tension on the cord, everything is held up and supported to prevent tugging. What happens is the heat melts the adhesive and it just falls off. I can always hear them when they slap the floor in the living room. This product is super useless and Ive resorted to taping it on with duct tape. Even this size, the smallest, falls and that proved to me finally that it is not about the weight of the heat mat itself. Please do not waste your money, or create a setup where this is not hanging in the open because this clearly does not work for this product (although the instruction book insists you must.) p.s. they do not have any customer support, your only option is to return through amazon. I have found nothing to contact the seller directly so either it is impossible or hidden. if someone finds this i would appreciate the help.
