I purchased the suggested mat size for my tank, however it refuses to go over 88F. I have it plugged into a heat mat thermometer to control it and stay aware of the temps but it keeps turning off at 88 no matter how hot I make it. Very disappointed in this product as I needed it to work for my leopard gecko.

Works perfectly to replace an older broken one that had for years. Very pleased.

I used adhesion promoter so this will be fun to peel off. The mat is hooked up to a cheap thermostat but I won’t talk about that. The mat itself, temperature varies from 101°F to 78°F on different spots of the mat. That’s all I have to say. Maybe I got a defective mat, but I’m not risking it for my new snake.
