Mine did not come with a thermostat and it doesnt get very warm.

Thermostat works excellent. Reads temperature accurately. That is about where the good ends for us. This unit was used on the 20 gallon terrarium for a ribbon snake with wood bedding. Terrarium had about two or three inches of wood bedding and the best we could get with the padding placed under the terrarium was about four or five degrees above ambient temperature. We covered the top of the tank to help try to keep more heat in, I thinned out the bedding over the heating area so there wasnt so much insulation over the pad and did not help. Ultimately ended up buying a heat lamp which works much better in our case.

Heats really well! Unfortunately came unstuck to my tank within a day of placing it. Used tape to restick it

I purchased the suggested mat size for my tank, however it refuses to go over 88F. I have it plugged into a heat mat thermometer to control it and stay aware of the temps but it keeps turning off at 88 no matter how hot I make it. Very disappointed in this product as I needed it to work for my leopard gecko.

This product is great I have this under all of my reptile tanks.
