HARD DRIVE RUNS AT 53C WHEN NOT UNDER LOAD, WHICH GREATLY SHORTENS THE LIFESPAN. YOU MUST BUY A FAN WITH THIS PRODUCT, AND POINT IT DIRECTLY AT THE HARD DRIVE ENCLOSURE, OR ELSE YOUR HARD DRIVE WILL FAIL. NOT RECOMMENDED PURCHASE. ... On the bright side, after 3 years of continuous use with a fan, the hard drive continues to run.

I absolutely love this hard drive. My first one stopped working and I forgot I had a 2 year warranty so I purchased a 2nd one, but once I realized I did have the warranty I contacted the seller and they sent me a new one! 10/10 would order again!

I actually ordered two of these hard drives. One did not perform as expected. It was returned for a full refund. The second has performed flawlessly thus far. Specs and reputation of these drives are outstanding. The price is fantastic

Read an article about being the most reliable drives on the market. I bought two to replicate my data. So far so good.

If you are building on a budget, avoid these drives! It worked fine for about a month then failed. Luckily it lasted enough totransfer the data to a WD drive. Will never buy low cost, high capacity drives again! IF YOU WILL BE STORING IMPORTANT DATA ON A DRIVE, DONT GO CHEAP

This is an excellent drive at a good price. My only reason for giving it 4 stars was that I feel they should have included instructions on formatting the drive in a more prominent manner. It cost me a lot of wheel spinning to get the drive installed on my computer. To be fair, the instructions to go the their website and follow the steps for formatting were on the shipping document - they were just in very small type on the paper that often I just throw away.
