I bought this because I was struggling to breastfeed my newborn. We would use this scale and app to measure how much breastmilk my little was consuming each feed. As time went on we wound up having to add in formula and I got more comfortable with how much he was getting each feed so we don’t use it as much anymore but it’s still nice to weigh him every once in awhile! I also am so thankful I had it during the first few weeks while I was struggling. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to track nursing feeds or track progress!

This scale might be fine if you generally want to track weight, but it’s not useful for weighted feedings to see how much baby is transferring from the breast. It is often inaccurate and even if I gave an ounce and a half in a bottle it would only register it as a half ounce, for example. As a changing pad, the grey is easy to clean but a little uncomfortable for baby.

I love our hatch changing pad. I also love the hatch app that accompanies the changing pad. We track our daughters diapers as well as her feedings. The changing pad is the perfect size and very easy to clean. The only problem I have with it is that after only 3 weeks of use, the white pad is stained orange from her poop. I dont know how to get the stain out of the material.

I love this scale/changing pad! -It is so easy to clean -I love that you dont have to attach the safety straps -you can weigh baby so accurately -you can weigh baby before and after a feeding to see how much breastmilk baby is getting, helping mothers feel more confident in their breastmilk supply, but also leading to early detection of supply issues -the app is so simple to use, can have a profile for each baby and records all weights and feedings The only thing I dont like about it is it doesnt have an on/off switch, so I feel like the battery is always being used. We take the batteries out if were not going to use it for awhile. I still highly recommend this product.

So yes, the scale is wonderful, easy to use ... a bit weird in that it does not have a display like most scales, and you have to zero nearly each time you use it. BUT ... I can overlook those items easily, since they would be costly and likely unnecessary, and most significantly, because the Hatch Baby app is so terrific! You can log a diaper type, WET or DIRTY, a feeding (bottle or breast, start and end times, amount down to the decimal point of ounces, and any special notes), sleep time complete with sleep timer, and so much more. This app frankly blows my mind ... its so intuitive and easy to use, even my babys grandma can do it :) If you like the scale, thats great, I do too ... but the app, with its Alexa command set and easy of use for recording and sharing a TON of details you might need for your doctor or other caregivers, is the real reason to buy this scale. Of course, you can get the app without the scale, so theres that ... but combined, its a great deal and one every new parent should consider.

So many people say “you don’t need a scale at home” or that it would drive me crazy watching my newborns weight. I almost didn’t buy it, but SO glad I did! I can weigh home whenever I want and don’t have to wait for doctor visits. Also the Hatch app this connects to is amazing. Keeps track of weight, feedings (formula or BF big), sleep, and diaper changes. It’s so nice!

Our baby was born 5lbs full-term so we constantly stress about if he’s gaining weight. With breastfeeding there is no way to know exactly how much he was feeding so we wanted a scale to help guide us. The Hatch has been perfect for this. I can’t speak to how precise it is (I didn’t place a scientifically measured weight on it to see what it said) but I will say based on the weights at the doctors office it’s very good. It is great for consistency... pre- and post- feed weighs and showing over the course of a week or few days the progress the little guy is making. What’s even better is the app. It is necessary to use the scale (there is no screen that shows the weight). But it records the weights, feed time/amounts, diapers, timing and duration of feeds, sleep, pumping schedule, etc. You can enter data manually or hit the start button and have the app record it for you. There is a dashboard that keeps the info readily available so you know when the next feed will be.

I love this changing table and the app that you use with it. When my son was first born I loved weighing him before and after feedings to see how much he ate. It was a big comfort to see and have the scale to weight him and see his progress. The app comes with a nap timer so you dont have to try and remember when you put your baby down and for how long. Its not too big and very easy to clean. I highly recommend.

As a breastfeeding mother with a baby that has reflux, feedings can be very difficult. My son would cry after every feeding, leaving me to wonder if hes still hungry or if its just the reflux. I knew I wanted a scale that could measure his feedings accurately and the Hatch advertises that it weighs to .25 ounces. However, I noticed early on that the scale was not accurate. At night, my baby is fed a bottle of pumped breast milk and I would always measure out 4 oz. in a bottle. However, when I would weigh my baby after the feeding, it consistently came up as 3.5 ounces. or even 3.25 ounces. I also once tried with a 1 ounce bottle and it showed up as taking in .5 ounces. When youre trying to calculate how much your baby is taking in per day over 8-10 feedings, a difference of .5-.75 ounces adds up. Some other cons: -Weight can only be checked with the app. This makes it easy to keep track of things as the data is stored on their app but its annoying at 2am when you cannot find your phone. Pros: -Great customer service -Sleek looking product -Nicely designed and easy to use app Ultimately, I decided to return this product due to the inaccuracy but would consider buying again if some enhancements were made to the product to fix it.

Love this smart changing pad and scale!! It was a game changer for us. Our baby would eat small amounts but very frequently throughout the day and when he would be fed by breast and not by bottle, it was hard to track how much he was eating. With this scale, we could monitor exactly how much he was drinking from me. This is especially helpful through the sleep training phase where we need to be sure he is eating a certain amount so he can be full enough to last a few hours without a meal. Easy to use and sleek in design!
