from this point on i will only be buying Global knives. that is if i ever need any more knives. these should last even for my grandchildren to use

Oh yes there are a lot of Jap knives that are much more expensive, all that Damascus steel is really cool and does have a certain aesthetic. Global is equal to in the cutting ability. I think Global stays sharper longer. And the handle - again the wood ones have that certain aesthetic but Global has it made practical and it is integral to their near perfect balance. I did not get to use this one but once, before I repacked it and sent it to my daughter for Christmas. She is a professional Chef and Global is her favorite.

The report was purchased as a birthday gift from blog. Cutting a good grip is also good. Also like to buy sandoku knives.

We got this for my Dad for Christmas and he loves it. Hes got all sorts of fancy knives and has used them for decades but hasnt stopped talking about this one.

Excellent knife. Very sharp out of the box. Great quality, the shape is just right for scooping up chopped up vegetables after cutting.

My fifth Global knife. Crazy sharp and very balanced. After four years and manually sharing my others I took them to a professional to get back to OEM specs. I have bought them for my mother as well, as she was the one who just bought new knifes at the store when they went dull. She was sold on it and is a great chopper. Cant go wrong with a global knife.

We have owned this knife for 4 years and purchased it as a Christmas gift last year. We cannot say enough positive about the quality of Global knives. They are fantastic and the blade has remained sharp. We had it professionally sharpened once but it may not have even needed it. Excellent all around kitchen knife and the great start to any collection.
