Updated review: The rest of the review stands, but I noticed today how badly the backlight bleeds and had to post an update and an image...knocked off one star from 4 to 3, considered knocking it down to 2. While the pic was taken with a totally black screen in a dark room for illustrative purposes, I noticed this while watching a dark Youtube video in normal lighting conditions, so it is noticable during regular use. For the price, its a good enough monitor, but its a little too dim, and black levels arent great. If the brightness and contrast were maybe 10% better it would look great. Also, the controls and on screen menu interface are straight out of 2004. I realize you have to cut corners to hit this price point, but still, for $400 youd think they could have spared another couple dollars for a better OSD controller. My $150 LG has an easy to use joystick control, so its a bummer to have to fiddle with four different buttons.

I upgraded from an MSI 32” curved 165hz to this 240hz.. Now I’m getting clean and accurate 240 FPS on all my games. Free sync works. I’ve used AOC monitors in the past with no problems so I have faith this will last too.

The image quality is superb. Both for gaming and for videos. The design is elegant and really doesnt take upo as much space as I expected. Its just an amazing monitor for the price

I got this monitor about a month ago. I put off this review because i was skeptical. All those specs for under 400. Pros: cheep, great picture quality, good size, and great specs. Cons. It has an aqward pixel resolution. So the pixel resolution looks great. The only thing that makes it aqward is not all games even newer ones have a setting for it. But i have found its not much of a problem you just need to spend time getting as close as you can on the game settings. The main game i had a problem with was overwatch 2. The best i could get is good and not a problem for a casual player. But i still have two small black bars on the side on it. Do i recommend? Yes. Absolutely. My brother has the neo g5 and spend about 100-200 more on it then i did on this one. This one is not only cheep but from what me and my brother have found is that it also preforms better then the g5. The build quality is great, the specs are compeating with a lot of the higher grade monitors. Highly recommend

If you’re anything like me, you too have been unable to convince your partner that it’s absolutely necessary to have a $500+ monitor. Let’s be real, unless you’ve dropped $2k+ into your computer build, you don’t need a better monitor than this. If you’re a console gamer you probably should buy a tv if you’re worried about not having 4K. 32” is huge when you finally get it set up, not sure that I would go bigger. I actually find myself moving away from the screen at times to get a better view angle. If you’re upset that it doesn’t have built in speakers, it’s time to accept that no one else wants to listen to you game anyways. Put on a pair of headphones and move on with your life. Pros: #1: Cost vs Quality (really huge in all aspects) #2: wow factor refresh rate Cons: #1: puts out a lot of heat #2: the control buttons suck As the title said, don’t get lost in the specs and buy this monitor. Pro tip: go watch some YouTube videos if you are having issues with ghosting.

Good monitor and great picture quality. Speakers sucks though. Most dont use speakers out of monitors but if you do, the sound coming out of this one sounds like it is coming out of a pringles can. Everything else is great though.

I purchased 3 of these monitors to use for sim racing. After setting them up in surround mode and running a racing simulator they perform very well. They are also a good looking monitor. However....the title stating they are frameless is HIGHLY inaccurate. There is a noticable black edge that runs around the screen where there is no picture. Yes the bezel is very thin, hence why I purchased 3 of them. However a quarter inch area of screen along the edges that displays no picture is pointless! I have messed with all my settings and even hooked up just one single monitor and yet the picture does not go right to the bezel like advertised. I also cant get above 45 FPS on them. Not my system because I was getting 160fps on a big screen tv. Probably going to return them for something different.

I can not complain, this is a very good monitor. The picture is crisp and the quality is that of a higher standard than other monitors. I highly recommend this monitor.

This is my first curved monitor and being I wear glasses for reading, it took a bit to get used to. My peripheral vision was a bit bothered for awhile. As for the monitor, it has your basic controls, from the power button to the adjustments, they are all on the bottom right and better seen with a flashlight. The controls dont adjust a lot, but enough to make it comfortable to use. I had an issue while gaming (key words while gaming), the monitor crashed, it went black and the power light shut off...I could hear the game still playing, so I knew it wasnt my computer. It rebooted itself and I played on. Then it crashed again 2 more times in roughly an hour. I was done playing, so I shut it down for the night. The next morning I found and contacted AOC with a support ticket on 9 Aug 22, ..its 13 Aug 22, and Ive yet to receive a reply. I stated what happened and inquired if I should have the monitor on certain settings for gaming, is all I asked. I also stated what my computer was and it used the GeForce video card that this said it was made for. Since those 3 crashes, it hasnt done it again, but I havent played a lot. It seems fine just for standard web, video and business use. If I receive a response to this support ticket, I will update this review. Michael Burgess review on 9 Jan 22, states about going to UFO Test to check out the refresh rates. Basically it confirms, you get what you pay for, this is not a high end platform. **UPDATE 4 Sept** So, finally got a response 19 Aug., by then the Amazon return policy had expired. The respondent was quite helpful though. They even got me a copy of the instruction manual, which wasnt in the box. But, though that I tried to reset it and use different settings, it crashed again and I requested an RMA. Well, here we go again, its been 6 days and I havent even been told if they are going to replace it, refurbish it, or refund me? *NOTE* I lowered my rating as well. **UPDATE 11 Sept** Well, since AOC was dragging their feet to get back to me, I contacted Amazon who had removed the No returns after 15 days notice. They quickly asked what I wanted to do, I said an exchange would be fine and they had me the new one the next day. I had the other returned the evening before. Ironically, AOC contacts me the next day saying I didnt provide all the information required. I told them I had and it was right there in the conversation record, and I told them Amazon took care of this already, ..yesterday. The new monitor has much better color, even without adjustments, now Ill have to see if this one crashes. Hopefully all I received was just one bad unit?

This monitor literally has everything you could possibly want, to compete on consoles competitively and not have to switch to pc which is expensive. It’s got everything. 4k @ 120hz is awesome. Plenty to be more than competitive on COD etc. the sRGB is awesome at almost 120% which provides great colors. The colors are definitely not like your 60 inch Samsung or Sony but they’re really really good for a 400 monitor. Considering you’re getting up to 160hz 1ms response time 34inch screen and the best curve rate they sell, the colors are really good. It’s not even a “ ehh they’re alright” no they’re really good, like I said, for a $400 monitor. This is THE best monitor for 400 or less and it’s not even close. Every spec needed. And the fact you get the best curve rate possible, AND 34 inches is just a game changer.
