> 3 dayEverything about this monitor is great so far. I have had it for almost 1 year and it has not had any issues at all. Picture quality is amazing. Refresh rate is perfect for PC gaming. I have a 3060 graphics card and no problems.

> 3 dayHowever, to do so would be an insult to the people who made this. This monitor, in the 31.5 QHD 2K model, is outstanding for the price and then some. After trying another, more expensive monitor that came brand new with a major amount of artifact built-in to e the new screen, as well as horrendously washed out colors and a non-existent way to adjust picture, I was fine with waiting until this came available for purchase. I was nervous until I set it up thinking all monitors had a weird black hole to the right of dead center with light bleed SO bad it may as well have been a glorified lamp.. but all of my concerns faded away as soon as I plugged this in. Thank You, AOC!! :) :) :) On top of giving you Plenty of customizable settings for getting the picture the way you want it, it also had a beautiful and uniform back-lit screen with no signs of bleed anywhere. (And, after tweaking just a bit for contrast (for gaming) it was pretty much perfect. Dark blacks, ( my main concern ) rich colors and a relatively easy menu to learn. If I were Forced to gripe about anything, it would be extremely minimal: (1) Having 2 or 3 User buttons would be amazing for presets., but in No way a deal breaker. ;) and (2) Most importantly, Having a box that doesnt Scream STEAL ME would be very helpful. : One of the 2nd monitors purchased got stolen before it ever reached my porch. SO, DO Absolutely request an Amazon Gift Box when purchasing. The delays are a pain otherwise. Monitor is s great. And this being the second one, and it being uniform, their Quality Control is apparently excellent. A+++

> 3 dayI was looking for a really good, yet budget-friendly monitor for my first PC setup and stumbled upon this absolute masterpiece of a monitor. For $230, I got a 32 165hz 1ms monitor, which is already a steal, but on top of that, this monitor, in particular, is adjustable, which comes in very handy, and is overall amazing. The red trim may be concerning to some people, but I have a strictly black-and-white setup and it works fine. Ive seen people paint it, but honestly, I can barely even tell. The red is on the bottom and some of the back, which is against the wall. I dont think it really matters what it looks like from the back-bottom angle, plus if you have LED lights in your setup or in your PC, it makes no difference. Also, when I set this up, the default setting was 60hz, so you have to manually change it in settings to 165hz.

> 3 dayI really wanted to like this screen. Its beautiful, well-designed, bright, sharp, adjustable, and huge! But the moment I turned it on my brain could not handle it. It was very disorienting to use. Admittedly I didnt buy it for gaming, but for productivity. I wish I could describe how difficult it was to try to align parallel lines on a curved surface. It literally made my brain hurt and took a couple days to feel like myself after using this screen for less than an hour. Sent it back. Ill be sticking with flat screens for now.

> 3 dayHooked this monitor up to my laptop, and the settings via HDMI were right on. NO adjustments, no dead pixels, no distortion, so nothing but a great looking monitor display. I put 4 or more windows up and can easily see all of them. the CURVE is perfect for viewing. The base is BIG, but as a SECOND 34 inch monitor on my desk, it just slides right in there on the left, and the height adjustment matches perfectly. Now I can put my remote desktop on one monitor on the left and on the right is my work displays. It does take a bit getting used to the 3440x1440 as the font is a bit small (by default), but that is the benefit of this wide screen. Overall, I am amazed at what it looks like and I have been told that AOC just keeps on running, with very few issues. My first one is still running like a CHAMP. I would recommend anyone to at least get one. If you have the desk space, do two. For the Gaming one at 165MHZ i havent tried it yet, BUT it has USB 3.x connectors. A definite PLUS for charging, and plugging in the other items I have on the desk.

> 3 dayThe performance leaves little to be desired. First one I purchased was damaged in shipping I presume so I ama little concerned as to how well it will hold up over time. So far, this one has been everything I hoped it would be.

Greater than one weekI bought this because its the only wide monitorI could find in my price range that fits under my desk hutch. Its not a terrible product for the price. Build quality is pretty solid. The screen curves slightly at the very edges (think of a recurved bow), so those 2 or 3 columns of pixels can drop out of sight, depending on how close you are to the monitor. It sounds worse than it is, just kind of a weird quirk. If you set your desktop wallpaper to black and turn off your lights, you can see very faint glow/discoloration in the corners. Dont know if thats common to this product, or just the one that I received. Again, very subtle and not noticeable during regular use. After some back & forth with their customer support — which isnt theirs, really, its some 3rd party service — I have come to the conclusion that this monitor does not support 16:9 aspect ratios. It supports 21:9, 16:12, and 4:3. If you want to run an older game that doesnt support ultrawide resolutions, you can forget it. This monitor wont allow 2560x1440 or 1600x900. Looks like Ill be playing Unreal Tournament in crappy windowed mode. If AOC simply hired a Dev to write a display driver to allow 16:9 — like every other widescreen monitor out there — this would easily be a 4-5 star product. As it is, meh. Its ok. UPDATE: Their customer service contacted me after this review, insisting that if I couldnt get 16x9 on their monitor that it because of something wrong with computer setup. My system is a brand new PC with Win11 install and RX6800 video card -- all software & hardware patched with the most recent updates. So the claim that my system is the problem is utter BS. Minus one star for trying to gaslight the customer. Do not buy product. Save your money for a better monitor - from a company with better customer service.

> 3 dayThis replaced my Dell 2716DG, a gsync 144hz 2560x1440p TN monitor. I had always wanted to get an ultrawide, but couldnt bring myself to spend more than 500 dollars. This monitor was released and had the features I wanted at the price point I wanted. As with most monitors, the secret sauce is in the settings. Ive never had a monitor that didnt look better after some settings tweaks. This monitor has freesync instead of gsync. When I first used gsync in 2016 it became a must have feature. Then I built a new rig and moved from Windows 7 to 10. Windows sometimes breaks gsync, making the price premium for it no longer part of my purchasing decision. While this monitor isnt gsync certified you can enable it via the Nvidia control panel. At first I would get intermittent black screens that would last a few seconds with gsync enabled. Needless to say this was ruining my gaming experience, so I looked for a solution. First I downloaded new drivers from AOCs website and manually installed them. Problem persisted. Then I updated the driver on my 1080ti. Problem persisted. I tried using a program to change the freesync range which some people claimed helped. No dice. Finally I found a solution that worked: 1. Make sure freesync is set to ON in your monitors onboard controls 2. Right click on the desktop and go to the Nvidia control panel 3. Set up gsync in Set Up G-Sync 4. Select Manage 3D settings. 5. Change Monitor Technology to Fixed Refresh 6. Select the Program Settings tab within manage 3D settings 7. Select the game you want to run 8. Change Monitor Technology to G-sync 9. Do this for every game you want to play with G-sync For some reason this works. No more black screens! My rig is Windows 10, 9900K, 1080ti with latest drivers. Coming from a TN the colors were a bit better, but it wasnt a life changing experience. Apparently my previous monitor was dialed in pretty good. The pixel response isnt as fast as my old TN, but after a few days I dont notice it anymore. If you arent Mr. E-Sports tournament guy it wont matter. If you are that kind of guy you probably arent even looking at this monitor as an option. Now for the bad. The monitor often needs more brightness. Even with brightness set at 100 I still find myself upping the brightness in game settings. If a game doesnt have a brightness slider you can use Picture Boost in the monitors on board settings. This is a great option. So why put it in the bad section of the review? The monitor doesnt remember this setting when you turn it off. If you need it for a game you have to reset it every damn time. AOC needs to update their firmware to fix this. Its keeping this good monitor from being truly great. Every time I want to play Assault Android Cactus I have to mess with this. Not cool. Beyond the black screen workaround and the picture boost not being saved Im happy with this monitor. It was great step up from my 27 inch TN, and now I can never go back to regular sized monitors. Size does matter. It will probably be another four years until a 4K with comparable features is released at a reasonable price. I wont be allowed to purchase another monitor until then since my sister in law dimed me out and pointed out to the wife my new toy. Thats the last time she stays with us during her spring break.
