Greater than one weekThese are bright and look great outdoors. Also, very easy to cut and solder extension wires to add blank spaces.

Greater than one weekThese lights are super bright and they’re a great color. However, they get super hot when left on for a while, and the adhesive on the back pooped out after 3 days. If you buy these lights, buy some aluminum led strip channels to go with them and keep them away from anything highly flammable. Good for $15 but if you’re looking for a premium product, keep looking!

> 3 dayGreat product. Super bright LEDs and easy to install. I didnt like the adhesive tape that comes on these, as it peeled off when just trying to remove the backing, so I used the 3M auto-adhesive tape and it works great. Installed the lights under the gunnels on my bay boat and looks great!

Greater than one weekThey are bright. They have a nice silicone cover. I like that they have additional wires off the end. It allows you to use the left over piece if you dont use the entire roll. Quality control is a little lacking. The double sided tape was coming off the strip as you unrolled it. Out of 5 rolls, I had 2 instances where the double sided foam tape stuck to the backing for a couple inches. Not a huge deal in one application as they were laying flat, facing up. The other application, time will tell. The last problem was poor shrink wrap at the connector. If QC was a little better with better double sided tape, it would get another star.

> 3 dayI have purchased many many strings of rgb leds and the adhesive on them were always hit or miss. This strand by Alitove has a foam tape backing which seems to be much stronger then just the normal adhesive glue. This will also give it some insulation if you are planning to put this on metal (I have had other strips short out through the adhesive before). All the leds light up and are displaying the correct colors with the control I tested with. Only time will tell if they are reliable long term, but they feel much better made then many other brands.

> 3 dayI installed these lights in 4 foot sections to clean, new aluminum. Just to be sure it was clean, I cleaned it again with rubbing alcohol. As I was installing the fourth strip, the first strip was already starting to fall off!!! It didn’t even last 15 minutes! By the next day, without even turning the lights on, all the strips had at least half of the strip detached. Three had completely fallen off. (I had also purchased a different brand of light with 3M adhesive strips, there was no adhesive problem with those lights.) I’m satisfied with these lights, but I’ll have to remove the adhesive strip and replace them with something that will actually stick! If I hadn’t already done all the setup and soldering, I would just throw them out and start over with a better brand! Update: I peeled the adhesive backing - it came off quite easily. I replaced it with “3M (38583 1/4 x 15 Exterior Attachment Tape” 1/4 inch width (from Amazon). It’s been up for a week with no signs of loosening at all. It took just over one package to do the whole string. Of course this adds about $10 to the cost of the lights, but at least they’re usable now! So, since I have plans to purchase additional strings, now I’m much more cautious about what type of adhesive is used. I will not rely on the “it’s strong” description, I’ll check the pictures looking for the red adhesive strip marked with “3M”. While I’m sure there’s probably other brands that work, I’m not going to waste my time and money to run the experiment. (I’m not receiving anything from 3M lol, I’m just happy I found something reliable!)
