This monitor is great for 1440p gaming. G-sync works well, and it runs up to 144Hz. Response time and input lag are minimal. Theres no perceptible motion blur. Back buttons are a bit hard to read/feel when navigating the menu. Make sure you are using the right cables! For 144Hz at 1440p, you will need at least HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2. The included monitor stand is wobbly. I have my monitor on an arm using the VESA mount. The back of the monitor is curved, which could make attaching lights or other accessories difficult. The monitor has some interesting features like Picture-in-picture if you have multiple computers. Theres also an option to have the monitor put a crosshair on your screen. I think itd be more useful if I could modify the crosshairs. The built-in options are quite bulky. Brightness and colors start to change if you are viewing this monitor at an 30-40 degree angle. The contrast ratio is mediocre, and there is some backlight bleed in dark areas of the screen. These are all expected with IPS panels. Sound: The built-in speakers try their hardest, but they sound like small speakers and I dont use them. You may want to take a minute to deactivate the Monitor speaker device in Windows so it doesnt show up on the Output list.

I purchased this during prime day specifically for console gaming, and it will be tough to beat the price for a quality budget monitor from a company Ive actually heard of before. Since Xbox is very particular about what monitors it allows you to play 1440p at 120hz in, this one did it out of the box, no problems whatsoever. I was initially a little hesitant because acer has 37 similar models and I couldnt find a long technical review specifically for this one, but it seems to be a really solid monitor for the price.

Backlight bleed is somewhat bad in my opinion, being very noticeable in the corners through certain shades of black, although it is not that bad if you arent displaying shades of black often. But for reference when it is night time (in-game) it gets kind of hard to see a lot of times even after turning off my lights and playing in a dark room. If you do a bleed test, it doesnt come back very bad, and its only during certain shades where it is a big issue. Opposed to the majority of reviews, the monitors color accuracy is really not that great either. Well thats not necessarily true. Its a nice display and has a wide range of colors and shows them beautifully, but the monitors preset color settings are somewhat inaccurate, you will most likely have to tune them a bit. For me personally, my display had a faint red-pink tint to everything bright colored, like white, or cream. For example, characters skin will look sunburnt or blushed instead of crisp and clean. This can of course be adjusted but the tuning is only to eye and always leaves room for error. 1080p looks bad, but to be honest it almost always will for monitors that are made for 1440p. If you are looking to game in 1080p the majority of the time I do not recommend. This is mainly just a note to people reading reviews to lower expectations. 1440p is hard to downscale into 1080p because it is not an even switch so the monitor will be displaying a slightly larger than a 1:1 ratio making images blurry and low quality. Some monitors look better than others and some components try to help fix this issue but your quality will not be good. Other notes include: Its support for HD is good (which reduces some of the bleed when turned on it seems) Its brightness settings are good (I almost always have to keep it low because anything past like 50 will fry your eyes like an egg, especially with the max brightness setting on It is quick and responsive 1440p looks nice It comes with built in speakers, even though they arent the best and have zero depth they work for casual gaming and those of us who are too broke or stubborn to buy some nice ones The stand and connections are made out of mainly plastic but have a metal base Lots of movement from the monitor in all angles, easily adjustable Overall pretty good for the price though, I mean what would you expect? These are all not the biggest issues and for most people wont be that noticeable.

Xbox series S user runs 1440p at 120hz very well. Did not work out of the box had to change the HDMI setting on the xbox video settings to auto and turn off allow 4K and other settings in the video section but eventually ran 1440p at 120hz very smoothly. HDR is very nice.

If your going through reviews trying to decide whether to buy or not to buy. BUY IT! For the price this can not be beat. Not the strongest build quality but aside from that this is excellent value and perfect for office/gaming usage. Plus, this does not cause me any eye strain what so ever which is a huge bonus for me! Seriously, stop reading the negative reviews and buy this monitor. I spent so much time reading reviews, rtings, and reddit just to find a damn monitor that wouldnt cause eye issues and Im glad I went with this one because it is one of the few monitors Ive ever owned that causes zero eye strain. Beautiful picture and refresh rate as well.
