> 3 dayIs it a PC? No, obviously not, but I have an overpowered midtower on a desk for things that need power and an exe file to work. However the this Chromebook fits a need for portability and at a lower cost than a decent laptop. Ive used cheap Chromebooks before and wasnt thrilled, but this Chromebook brings a lot to the table. You just have to decide what your needs are.

> 3 dayThis is my second Chromebook and, coincidentally, my second Acer. I purchased my first Acer Chromebook (Acer C910-54M1 15.6-Inch LED 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) Chromebook - Intel Core i5 i5-5200U 2.20 GHz - Black) back in June of 2015 as a way to move away from my 13 MacBook Pro. Excellent experience with that particular Acer Chromebook and felt I was ready to step up to something else. So glad I picked this new Acer Spin 13 instead of the Google Pixelbook 2 I originally had my eyes on. Would have made a nice pairing with my Google Pixel 2 XL phone, but the Acer Spin 13 fits the bill nicely. Great screen, excellent backlit keyboard, vibrant colors, serious horsepower, and the battery lasts quite a long time.

> 3 dayI have owned several cheap Chromebooks, but after reading the reviews I decided to splurge on a really good one. What a difference an aluminum chassis, a 13.5 3:2 format high resolution (2256 x 1504) Gorilla Glass screen, a core i5 processor, 8 gigabytes of memory, 128 GB of storage, and a backlit keyboard makes-- not to mention the included EMR pen. Needless to say, those cheap Chromebooks are just gathering dust now, Ill never go back to them after this experience.

> 3 dayIf youre looking for a Chromebook and are considering this one, I would keep looking unless Acer cuts the price in half. The product page says it has an HD screen, but then you look closer and see that the resolution is only 1366 X 768. While technically you can say this is HD, when most people see those 2 letters, they automatically think the resolution is Full HD, which is 1920 X 1080. It has been a long time since I saw any laptop being sold with a resolution below Full HD. Also, it only comes with 4GB of RAM. For almost $400, it needs to have at least 8GB. I think the reason for the high price is the fact that it has a convertible touch screen, so you can use it like a tablet if you wish. That still doesnt justify the high price to me given the other mediocre specs. Even when I was typing on the keyboard, it felt cheap to me. Not a quality keyboard at all and not even close to other Acer laptops I have used. I would give this Chromebook a better rating if it was selling for $200 or less, but for almost $400 its just not worth it. If youre going to spend that much I recommend getting a regular Windows 11 laptop.

> 3 dayComplete garbage. Does not work after a month of use. Makes you create new password then locks you out asking for your old password. Manufacture troubleshoot is just to reset. Then you are in the same problem of logging in.

Greater than one weekThis machine is snappy. The display is great. I purchased it because of Crostini which works as it should at this early stage of development. It is way ahead of the Chromebooks I recommend for my school district. The only problem I have is that the display crashes. Large gray vertical stripes appear on the screen, then it turns black. The only way to recover from this is to fold the laptop and reopen it immediately. This happened a lot while using Crostini, so I first blamed this on the fact that the project was in Beta. But now, it also happens while running Chrome or android apps. I am now starting to wonder if this is not a hardware or implementation issue. I have had to return Acer laptops in the past. Is it a one-off issue? Should I exchange the machine? Acer, please help...

> 3 dayThe operating system crashed after 3 months. Acer wouldnt reinstall operating system because LCD screen had small crack. They wanted the cost of new computer to fix LCD first. I didnt expect them to fix the screen- just wanted something functional to get my son through the next 6 months of school.

> 3 dayThe resolution on this Chromebook is horrible. I mean, gray, fuzzy, and outdated. I was flabbergasted. Had to return and spend a little bit more for the Samsung Chromebook 2. Now that’s a nice device!
