Bought this to take notes and do videos for a college course. Its working well, and lasts 2-3 classes (1/week) before I have to plug it in at home to recharge. All my old laptops were very old or cracked screen, so had to buy a new one as it was required for the class. It is doing well with all the documents and videos I have to use.

I cant yet write a review because there is no volume on the laptop and I am trying to figure out what I need to do. Could anyone help with this please? Thanks. Once that gets fixed, I should be able to provide a better review.

JAN 2023 - The computer is stellar except for two things - USBs become completely defunct after so many hours of usage which require a complete reboot in order to correct the issue and the customer service is dismal. First contacted Amazon who told me the issue was software related and it was not. Finally connected with Acer Customer Service (off shore - of course). Was on hold for 30 minutes to reach someone; the person had me install something off the internet which loaded a bunch of crap onto my computer in order to update outdated drivers. He was on the phone with me for all of about 7 minutes before he told me to call back if it didnt work because there were other people in the queue. Now, when I informed the wad I had been on hold for 30 minutes to reach a live agent he told me it was not fair to others for him to have to wait to see if my problem was corrected. And, of course, the problem was not corrected!

Terrific display, sensitive touch pad and keyboard. More ports than you would expect. Comes with 8 GB memory and 128 KB Nve solid state drive. The small drive size is a result of the price point of this laptop. However the laptop comes with some screws and a cable to install a second sata drive in an existing bay inside the laptop. Instructions for installing are on line, and are pretty easy. Remove several screws holding the bottom cover. Pry off cover, disconnect the battery cable, connect provided cable to hard drive, install sata drive with provided screws, connect other end of cable to connector on computer board. Reconnect battery Icable. Result for an extra $40.00, now have a 500GB internal Sata drive in addition to the 128 GB boot drive. I was a little concerned about the i3 processor having adequate power, however the machine boots up quickly, browsing fine with many tabs opened, so more than adequate for what I use it for. I dont do gaming. Also computer comes in its ow n box which is then put in a separate shipping box. Prime shipping in 2 days. Not a mark or ding even on the shipping box!

This computer is so slow you literally cant do anything on it. I hate it

Looks and operates as it shouls. Doesnt heat up in my lap. Light weight.

This is a safe choice for home use. This laptop is used primarily for Microsoft word functions and nothing more.

Computer is fine for what I use it for, just browsing the web but the volume is very low even with headphones

I bought this laptop for when working at home. It has a very fast startup. The HD screen is crystal clear, long battery life and not too heavy to carry around
