Greater than one weekThis heater is great, and this is the 2nd one I have purchased. We own a 60lb+ Sulcata tortoise, who spends all of his time outdoors. Normally the SoCal climate is no big deal, but during some wintry nights we can see temps approaching 35 degrees. We feel this is much too cold, and we think our tortoise agrees. On cold days hell often prefer to laze about on his heating pad rather than forage for food. Lazy ass tortoise...

> 3 dayMy little dinosaur loves this- so that makes me love it. There was a tremendous difference in his behavior before & after I discovered this & started using it. Before, on cold/rainy days he would stay in his igloo for several days at a time during the winter, he looked sleepy every time I peeked on him, hed barely move at all, & he wouldnt eat even when I put his favorite food right in front of him. After I started using this, even if he stays in his igloo on cold days when I peek on him hell typically look alert & comfy, he has an appetite, & sometimes he even comes out on a cold day because this helped warm him up internally. Its easy to rinse off, theres a red light indicator when the heating pad is on, & it truly does get warm. The 1st day I received it I tested it out myself. I sat on it for about 10-15 mins. By the time I got off of it, my bottom was toasty warm to the touch- but not in an uncomfortable way.

> 3 dayMy wife told me to buy another one because one night I thought it didnt feel that it was too warm the tortoise house. But by the time it came, I checked again and it was fine. So I have a backup in case the other ever dies (its been running straight for 10 years now).

29-10-2024If you have a large reptile you must have this. My 70 lb sulcata will not get off it. He absolutely loves it! Update Ive had this for about 5 years now and my sulcata is still using it everyday and it has not broke yet. My big boy can be very destructive by accident.
