Zoo Med Laboratories SZMRH20 40-Watt Repti Therm Habitat Heater

I use this heat mat for my 3ft Savannah monitor in his 8x8 enclosure. He loves it. It is under his heat lamp which it on a timer, the mat runs 24/7. The internal cutout is super helpful as you dont have to worry much about it burning your animal or becoming a fire hazard. (However when using products like this you must be vigilant regardless of safety features) mine has been running for nearly 4 years continuously. The heater cable has a few feet of coiled steel coming from the heater, which helps prevent your animal from chewing on the cord. They kept it simple and durable with this product which for me is a plus. The only thing is that heat output is not adjustable, but that can easily be resolved via an external thermostat. Ive also soaked this thing with water on a few occasions accidentally and had no issues, however I wouldnt recommend this. Overall its worked great for my purposes.

Our sulcata loves his heating pad. We bought a second one for our goat who decided to move into the tortoises house. Now theyll both have a warm spot when it gets cold here in Florida

It is a good size and I like the thermostat capability.

Love this heating pad for our red footed tortoise! Better price than at a pet store and very large size. I would purchase this again if needed.

I bought this for my Sulcata’s housing and it barely gets warm to the touch. It claims to reach 119° but it’s definitely not the case. The red light stays on like it’s trying to reach temperature but it never happens.

Theses supply a great underbelly heat for my Ornate Box Turtles. The surface of the heater gets around 85 degrees. Make sere you have plenty of room in your enclosure bescuse this is good size 18 by 18 inches. Im coupling mine with a over head ceramic coil heat 150 watt bulb placed in a Zoo Med deep dome fixture. Supplying heat from top & bottom. My pen is 8ft by 32-inches. I also have a BigApple thermostat both heating sources are plugged in kept at 82degrees. It really works for me.

Used this for a insulated tortoise enclosure. Put it on the wall.
