I used the daytime light bulb inside this housing and it isnt any warmer than my regular 40w house light bulb. Also, it doesnt light up the aquarium because it is a very fine pinpoint of light. Hopefully it at least lasts a long time.

perfect for my tank, keeps tank at 80. I leave lit for 10 to 12 hours a day. Generates enough heat that when off the tank still does not drop do below 70. (I keep my thermostat in mid 60s in the house so that helps also).

They arrived quickly and in great condition. The springs that hold it to the top of the cage were little rusted but still functional.
