I bought this in conjunction with the zilla night black heat bulb. They do NOT go together. The bulb it threaded and the lamp is a plug in for head lights

I was having trouble keeping my ball pythons new huge cage (36x36x18 exo terra terrarium) warm enough. Those big lights wouldnt of worked for me with the top I have. Plus I think they are ugly. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying this little light here. If it didnt work Id just send it back. I LOVE IT! This small light puts out a lot of heat! I have had it about 5 months and still using the first bulb. But I would suggest buying a backup to ensure your loved reptile doesnt get sick while you wait for a replacement. Great buy!

I got this for my baby yellow belly slider thinking it was a great price (and it is) compared to the lamps at petco/petsmart, my mistake for not reading that it did not come with bulbs. Overall, came right on time and works pretty well after i went to another store to find bulbs.
