> 3 dayThe scanner itself is solid and easy to program. Have not tried the downloadable programming software because it is easy enough manually. I live in the suburbs and find the stock rubber ducky antenna to be inadequate for pulling in signals. A mobile antenna and a better rubber ducky have made a world of difference. Im sure this wouldnt be a problem in more urban areas. Good audio as well.

> 3 dayI have worn out 3 Uniden scanners in 25 years. These are the best handheld scanners out there. New for me was the volume knob, while scanning when something happens you can give it a quick tap and it will stop on that frequency. The price was right because this was an Amazon return. Came in original packaging and was flawless.

> 3 day…and good enough to do the job. This fills that bill. Probably not for you if your interest is police traffic. Not si ple to program on the scanner, but is easier to program from a PC. If you are some distance from the rail traffic, consider 6dB antenna.
